Beneficiaries of Welfare?

Important Statistics in Welfare

I dont know how so many of you have this perception that whites dont have a sector of their population also suffering. I will never make fun of those people or mock their situation. I dont want to see anybody suffer. But its long past the time we as a nation be honest about the welfare distribution so we can legitimately fix the problem without bias or contempt.

looks fine from 0-2 years. 2-5 years seems like there starts to be an issue.

12.6 % of the population accounts for 40% of our welfare? Sheesh. That's disgusting.

I never said that. All I am saying is that evidence shows that there is are whites that are systemically on welfare. The problem appears to occur even in states with a relatively strong economy. So it isnt even just a "Southern State problem". My theory is that it is tied to industrial growth (or lack thereof) in areas that specialized in work that has either been outsourced or made obsolete and transitioned into larger cities.

There are two stats that have changed in the last 10 years that make the word 'per capita' irrelevant.

Blacks now commit more murder and are more welfare recipients than whites. Period. Not per capita.
I'm surprised this hasn't been on NBC news.

• 8 states pay more in welfare than the average salary of a US teacher.

^^^I'd be interested to know how that is calculated. $5,000 a month in "welfare?"

-----------------------

The NCES said that in 2016-17, the estimated average salary for K-12 teachers was $58,064; the National Education Association’s chart shows the average K-12 teacher earning was $58,353 in 2016-17.

Interesting that they include Work comp benefits in the welfare statistics. There are times when WC beneficiaries are receiving government assistance; however, I would think that belongs in a different group.

Any idea if Farm assistance is included in these figures?

I’d be curious to see the breakdown by States. I’ve always heard it’s a largely southern & Midwest issue. Also, since it’s a political board, are those states Red or Blue?

That's why they say 8 states.

I promise you most teachers in Louisiana and Mississippi arent making that unless they are coaches winning games or administrators.

Hey Capt Obvious - Then you should be yelling that down a well. There is absolutely nobody on earth who believes otherwise. You are spouting a "Cold water is wet TOOOO" statement and claiming some sort of weird "gotcha" with it.

Now there ARE a lot of people who CLAIM that a lot of OTHER people believe that = These idiots are collectively known as DEMOCRATs

The government is vicariously saying that the amount a person needs to sustain themselves is more than what a particular profession pays.

So instead of providing incentive for people that better themselves, they build in dependency

That's known as a welfare trap.
