The 87,000 IRS agents are here to stay...thanks GOP

Only $1.9 billion of the $80 billion to fund 87,000 IRS agents were removed from the budget.
“Of the $80 billion Democrats appropriated to the IRS over ten years, the “deal” rescinds $1.9 billion. You read that right. That’s the kind of “get” that’s so good McCarthy agreed to increase the debt ceiling $4 trillion,” said Rep. Dan Bishop (R-NC).

None of this is official. Congress has to pass it & many Republicans in the House are against portions of it.

I'm pretty sure Bishop voted for McCarthy. Let me check...yep, he failed to vote against McCarthy.
Here are the only House members that withheld support from McCarthy:
Biggs (AZ), Boebert (CO), Crane (AZ), Gaetz (FL), Good (VA), Rosendale (MT).

I seriously don't understand why obliterating the IRS altogether is such a bad thing and removing the burden of paying them from the back of Americans.
