I'll be honest, I bought into the Texas shift based on the trends but holy shite they swung back to the right in a big way.

Collin County were RED. If you walk around those places they are very diverse.
Are you talking about Frisco, McKinney, etc? Bc the diversity is mostly Indian and they are all solid red. Collin and Denton and Republican strongholds.
I live in Denton but right on the border with Collin. Turnout here was big bc people wanted to win the popular vote.

Diverse, but well educated and conservative.....Most of the minorities I know from the area are engineers, physicians, C-suite professions.

Hidalgo county (McAllen) too?! Holy shite lmaooooo
i was in the valley last weekend. plenty of your typical democrat support, but wwaaaaayyyyy more Trump signs than i've ever seen and i was down there for 2016 and 2020. There were bilboards all up and down of "Fight" with Trump raising his fist all along I-2 from Brownsville to McAllen. very big change down there.
unfortunately, Trump didn't get Mayra Flores over the top. lost by less than 5k votes.

The Liberal Elites think in their Globalist world view of living in the DC-Boston East Coast Bubble that American Hispanics are pro-illegal immigration & they could not be more wrong.

Mexicans in the Rio Grande
Red near the border
White people don't want the borders open
Legal Hispanics hate Illegal Hispanics and don't want the border open
Blue near the border
Cartel members living on Texas soil do want it open
White people who are paid off by the Cartel
Hispanics who are owned by the Cartel

lot of fools in this thread... texas could flip blue any minute, dont be fooled by these numbers at all. ,most people i know held their nose this election because theyre tired of cost of living, illegals and crime..... the donors of the party will screw it up big time and push vouchers which the vast majority are against here... vouchers will flip the state blue if they push them... trump just needs to get oil and gas going, the economy going, shut down the border and deport many and texas will be fine... you start messging with public education and youre asking for trouble here... we have waaaaay too many republican teachers....

Serious question…
The big cities would need what to make the entire state blue? Another 250K votes?

Now it would be nice if they stopped picking their biggest chamber of commerce jackass to be speaker of the house

I believe the key to Texas going forward will be securing the Hispanic vote while keeping the Rural White vote..
build the wall, keep the illegals out, lower taxes for the middle class, fix inflation and watch the economy thrive.. when he starts drilling, the Texas economy will skyrocket..
I had a different opinion last week. I have been concerned for months that Texas was going to be the target because of the illegals.. turns out, that backfired on them, and now I don't see Texas turning blue anytime soon.
