Texas high school on LOCKDOWN after reports of an active shooter

This is just now being reported. Sounds like multiple victims. We don't need another one of these damned events.

The police wouldn’t have been there to prevent it any more effectively than gun control laws.

Mansfield Timberview High School. Lived for a month in an AirBNB about 3 miles away from here last December. Not the greatest area. Mansfield has its good and bad parts and this was not a great part.
Also went to the Lifetime Fitness for that month in Mansfield and it had a lot of culture so to speak.

Just like Arlington there are nice and ghetto parts of Mansfield
The nicer parts feed into Summit and Legacy high school
The ghetto part feeds into Timberview
In Arlington you have Martin and Lamar High Schools which are in the nice area and then Bowie/Sam Houston high schools which are in the bad parts. We played Bowie in football when I was in high school and they didn't have any white people on their team.

Timing of these things are just so odd. When a major distraction is needed...tee it up.
Hope all are well.
Good thing it's more of a small country town feel there still (though growing), so there could be more calls for guns as protection than the opposite. But lots of transplants have been growing that area so there will be many gun control calls.
So apparently one thing that is being said is that some students were in an altercation, and a gun was brought out. Here comes the calls for metal detectors..
