i will repeat this statement ad nauseum.
We had an option between:
a guy that has a very murky past but lots of dunking on the left in mostly unimportant ways,
a complete RINO that hates his constituency
a black congressman with a pretty good record and should have been the nice in between candidate.
I voted for the option that would have won going away in March, but the rest of Texas GOP chose the scumbag who liked to dunk on the left.

Then name a single child in the US that's received trans-gender surgery against the parents' wishes.
I'm willing to bet there's been a couple teenagers that received breast implants in some random state, but the GOP acts like this is an epidemic and thousands of children are getting their genitals carved up. The scare tactics are getting ridiculous.

This is my standing assumption about anyone running for any political office outside of local elections. Politics attracts sociopaths and narcissists. So I choose the sociopath who at least aligns with my political views.

You need to go read first hand accounts of desisters and detransitioners; they will tell you horror stories of the how easy it was to move forward and how much pressure was put on them to change. It’s frightening and it’s child abuse.
Transing at an early age is a ploy by “doctors” and “psychiatrists” who claim to care about the kids, but really just want to create a lifelong patient who is beholden to the pharmaceutical companies.
Stick your head in the sand if you want, but it is happening. The number of teenaged girls who claim to be trans has risen exponentially over the last five to ten years. It’s disturbing.
