Seems odd.

Texas Senate candidate James Talarico, 37, has a single checking account that holds up to $50,000—and he shares it with his mother, a frequent contributor to his political campaigns who pitched in to cover Talarico’s moving expenses when he was 32, records show.
Talarico's personal financial disclosure lists a single Wells Fargo checking account with a balance between $15,000 and $50,000. Though Talarico is unmarried, the disclosure indicates that the account is owned jointly. A "filer comment" provides clarity: "The account is jointly held by the filer and the filer's mother." Talarico did not disclose any other checking accounts.

That’s embarrassing and pathetic

Of course if he’s somehow elected, he will be a millionaire within a few weeks.

He's the new Howard Sprague.

Dims are such losers. Does he still live with mommy?

I still have my first checking account. I've had it for 20ish years. It still has my mom's name attached to it.

Have you managed to accumulate more than $50K? Is that your only account?

Could be worse. They could have shared her toys.

Wrong again.
A 37 man should be far more independent and that is if he isn’t running for congress.

This is the guy I want lecturing folks on finances and success

The dude is strange, but that could be for a few different reasons. That's not really a big gotcha. If I were single amd had no one else, I would probably put a parent on some of my Financials just in case something were to happen, they would instantly have access to my money.

One could have a field day writing about how the candidates Democrats think will solve their problem with men—whether they are of the Platner or Talarico variety—invariably still live off mommy and daddy.

You don't think this is a problem for a Senate candidate?

So.. it's not embarrassing and pathetic that a frickin' 37 year old man-child shares a checking account with his mother... but it IS embarrassing and pathetic that they are making a campaign issue out of it. That's your take. Really.
