Donor patients are routinely anesthetized in order to suppress autonomic responses during the procedure. If Heidi Klessig does not know that as an anesthesiologist, hopefully she's working outside the OR in a pain clinic.

I believe the theory is that the current hospital is going to falsify the results to harvest the organs of a child that is recovering. Something like that.

Nothing is wrong with erring on the side of caution.
