Texas House Bill 3162 is in effect here. Not only does it require 25 days before removing life support, it allows for this: "Texas House Bill 3162 increases the notice period for families from 10 days to 25 days before a hospital can withdraw life support, ensuring families have more time to seek alternative care." Note the END of that purpose!
The accident occurred on Memorial Day. The 25-day period has not even been reached, much less the opportunity to seek alternative care--which is already in play. They know what alternative care they want, and there are hospitals on the other end ready to receive the patient and administer that care. THIS IS MURDER if ALL opportunities are dismissed.
The parents should also deny ANY organ harvesting after the hell this hospital is putting them through!
