If a private business says you have to wear a mask on their premises, then wear it. Otherwise, take your business elsewhere. They choose how they run their business; you choose where you want to spend your money.

I got an email from a customer saying they are still following CDC guidelines and requiring masks on job sites.

It’s going to be common for most businesses to still require masks.

It’s totally there right but coming from my buddy and who lost his dad tj covid “ we all wore masks. My dad got covid and died from it. frick masks”

Businesses should always have leeway on whom they will serve. This isn’t different from a no shirt, no shoes, no service policy.

If they enforce a plethora of other things they’ll eventually lose their business as people will quit patronizing them.

They should be able to do any of this in a private business and let the chips fall where they may for customers wanting to frequent the place. Is it really any different than Galatois requiring a jacket?

Golf clap gif.

This is true. I just know some dickhead is gonna go to Whole Foods or Alamo Drafthouse mask less just to make a stink. Leave known liberal places alone. They are private businesses. They have the right to ask for mask compliance. Customers have the right to go anywhere else for services. The almighty dollar will dictate.

Alamo is not going to bankrupt themselves with mask mandates. Their bottom line gets abused they will relax.

Eventually we will look like an Asian country. Some people will wear masks in public forever.

Free market. Let them choose what they want to do. If their businesses suffer, then perhaps they’ll change stance. Govt both ways should stay the F out.

I think you are missing the point. If a business wants to require masks that is fine with me because I can choose to go there or not. When you are in their business you are on their private property.

This is way different than the govt requiring you to wear one and restricting crowd sizes.

This won't work out very well for them.

They’ll do it under the heading of public safety, like making one wear a hard hat of ear plugs.

Serious question. Looking at all the support on here for Texas businesses deciding to mandate their customer wear a mask, what else is the board in favor they are able to randomly (once the new proclamation is in effect) wear?

they can mandate whatever they want as a private business. then they can watch as their competitors take all their customers.

Which was mandated by health departments and inspectors.

They can tell you that you are inappropriately dressed for their establishment and ask you to leave.

They have the God given right to regulate dress codes for their companies.

You have the God given right to go elsewhere.

No shoes, no shirt, no mask, no service. No money from me.
