Blackburn is an evolution denying retard that is a complete sellout and corporate whore.

You know how the Tea Party wave of 2010 brought in a ton of well meaning principled small government types and some deranged lunatics looking to hitch on to the government gravy train while screaming Liberty or Death!

Blackburn is the latter.

I'll give Blackburn credit for leading the charge to keep Tennessee from implementing a state income tax.

Then she parlayed that wave of popularity into a seat in Congress.

So....
Your saying this election is between a 100% conservative voter and a sometimes (10%ish?) conservative voter?

Everyone holds some beliefs I disagree with including Trump. But what laws they actually pass have actual control over me and my family.

You seem to be a really huge Bredesen fan. Fine.

Not necessarily huge. I thought he was a good mayor and governor, and I would vote for him again for either position.

My point of the thread is that there's this Senate race that no one nationally seems to be paying attention to, that the Dems are consistently leading in the polls and could very well pick up. Fox likes to talk about Manchin, Heitkamp, Tester, and McCaskill. They'd better start talking about this one.

I hope they do a debate so more people can see how dumb Blackburn is.

stupidity is something trump voters admire.

The TN race has the potential to be the most exciting race. I think Blackburn wins but it will require intensive help from GOP/Trump.

Someone with your obvious limitations probably shouldn't opine on stupidity. You have enough to worry about.

And if there's any truth to the Sundquist story in the article, the state party may not work that intensively for her.

The question was about her positions. I don't care enough about her to know her positions. I have seen her several times on various cable news programs, and she's never struck me as someone with much intelligence.

Here are some of her votes:

Voted YES on Constitutionally defining marriage as one-man-one-woman. (Jul 2006)
Voted YES on Constitutional Amendment banning same-sex marriage. (Sep 2004)
Voted YES on constitutional amendment prohibiting flag desecration. (Jun 2003)
Constitutionally prohibit flag desecration. (May 2009)

Regardless of one's position on these issues, she seems pretty eager to start amending the Constitution.

Voted NO on letting shareholders vote on executive compensation. (Jul 2009)

Here's an interesting summary of her voting record.

edit: I thought this one was especially interesting:

Voted NO on protecting whistleblowers from employer recrimination. (Mar 2007)

he likely would actually vote for some Trump proposals.

You are delusional if you actually believe that. Schumer and the DNC will never allow him to cast a meaningful vote for a conservative policy. He can do it in Tennessee, but once he enters the US Senate, he'll be beholden to the DNC. Sorry, that is just the fact of the matter.

Phil Bredesen, former Nashville mayor and state governor, remains hugely popular. He carried all 95 counties in 2006. He's no Doug Jones...he likely would actually vote for some Trump proposals.

Oh so the Dems are running another Democrat in Republican clothes? We see what their strategy is.

They can't win running straight up and open about their policies so they have to lie and pretend to be conservative or moderate.

You still think Democrats in Congress tend to vote based on their individual beliefs and preferences?

The guy will be 80 years old when his term ends. You're the one who is delusional if you think he will be beholden to the DNC. The idea that Phil Bredesen would owe Chuck Schumer anything for getting elected in Tennessee is downright comical.

Another bit of comedy.

All Phil Bredesen has to do is run on his record...especially on bringing jobs to Tennessee. He doesn't have to pretend to be anything other than what he always has been. Sometimes voters will vote for the person who they think will actually get shite done.

You guys really have no clue about him other than the D beside his name, do you? It's ok...you can admit it.

"lack of intelligence" can be very subjective. What are some of the things that stick out in your mind that led you to that conclusion?
