Phil Bredesen, former Nashville mayor and state governor, remains hugely popular. He carried all 95 counties in 2006. He's no Doug Jones...he likely would actually vote for some Trump proposals.

Marsha Blackburn first made her mark as a state legislator several years ago leading the charge to prevent a state income tax from being passed. But she is not well liked by all Republicans.

Don't be surprised when the Dems pick up this seat.

Lol at Bredesen voting with Trump. No D is ever going to do that on anything that matters.

Considering how different today's political climate is, I don't think that really matters.

Then you don't know Phil Bredesen. Some Dems voted to confirm Gorsuch.

There's a reason why he carried every county in Tennessee in 2006.

Isn't Marsha Blackburn basically running as a "Trump-ite"?

Like I said, on anything that matters. Token votes for judges that would be confirmed regardless are just political ploys. "Look at me. Im bipartisan!" If elected, Bredesen would be another leftist political hack like the rest of the D's.

Once they know something is going to pass, they distribute yea votes among the most vulnerable members so they can fool voters like yourself into believing those dems are actually independent thinkers who would vote against the dems on something that matters.

I hope they do a debate so more people can see how dumb Blackburn is.

That all may sound well, and good, coming from someone who is clueless about Tennessee, but if voters decide to go with someone who has a record of actually getting shite done, Blackburn is in trouble. I'm not going to do your homework for you...but you can start with the Titans and Dell Computers.

I was born and raised in TN. I actually liked Bredesen as a governor, but the Senate is a whole different animal. I wouldnt expect the same behavior at all. I dont know much about Blackburn. Im not carring water for either candidate. You seem to be a really huge Bredesen fan. Fine. I dont give a frick about pro sports teams. All they do is bleed the taxpayers dry to build a stadium, then threaten to pack up and leave if they dont get another sweetheart deal a when it comes time for another one. I do know Bredesen, as mayor, gave Bud Adams such a one-sided deal to move the Oilers to Nashvie that he couldnt say no. Even he was shocked.

Yes...so why do repubs not like her?
What do hard core, steel spined, strict conservatives like Mitch McConnell think of her?

Serious question..I don't know much about her at all.
What are some of these dumb positions she holds?

Blackburn is an evolution denying retard that is a complete sellout and corporate whore.

You know how the Tea Party wave of 2010 brought in a ton of well meaning principled small government types and some deranged lunatics looking to hitch on to the government gravy train while screaming Liberty or Death!

Blackburn is the latter.

So you're ignoring the fact the referendum actually had to be passed by the voters.

I don't really know. I know she's not shy about going on any of the cable news shows where she displays an impressive lack of intelligence. I'm sure there are clips on Youtube.
