Red Herring fallacy

I'd like to know which headlines you are grabbing this from? I think it's pretty damned apparent that the #1 issue with conservatives is and always will be the economy. R v W is somewhere like #6 or 7 on that list.

you are a complete fool if you don't believe that this presidential election will be about the economy and Obamacare.

I'm not in LA so obviously I have not vote but I could not vote for any with such an arrogant attitude assuming the quote is legit:

================================================
Louisiana Sen. Mary Landrieu rolled out her pitch for a fourth term in an interview with the Times-Picayune in April. "I'm indispensable," she told the New Orleans newspaper, noting that her pull in the Senate would "secure for Louisiana a significant and reliable string of revenue."

i do believe this election is about the economy and Obamacare. but i wanted to know something about Mary Landrieu besides the fact she supported Obamacare there for she sucks. To me thats like not voting for a someone because they supported the Iraq war.

Mary voted for the Iraq war, but once again I'd bet she'd tell you the POTUS lied to her.

It seems like she is easily snookered.

Landrieu voted for the ACA, and then she voted against repealing it.

LINK

Hopefully the link works. Vote smart is a great place to educate yourself through the questionnaires they put out.

My highlights:
1. Her tax beliefs don't jive with mine. Thinks people making over 150k don't pay enough taxes in her questionnaire. Would not support a change of the tax structure to a flat style tax. Voted for and co-sponsored the bill to collect sales tax and send to purchasers state for online transactions. That in part shows her willingness and eagerness to get tax dollars. Among other things.....
2. Supporter of nafta
3. Marks federal government v local gov way too much for me in issues on questionnaire.
4. Claims biggest initiative is to balance budget. When you do vote for things like Obamacare and want to increase funding for social programs, there is only one way to make that happen..... Bend over boys.

Edit: referring to the 100mph v 300mph posts, I always give dems props for having balls. They will tell you what's up. Cassidy has not done the questionnaire to help people better understand his positions. So, I won't vote for her, but I am not giving my vote away. Cassidy will have to convincer not to vote Libertarian. Que the throw my vote away republicans.....

This is misinformation which you obviously believe to be true. There is a difference between reality and the garbage you see on CNN and what Dems tell you.

Turn on Limbaugh, Beck, Hannity, Boortz, Andy Dean, Savage, etc etc. You may not like them or think they are hacks BUT they are conservative and they NEVER bring up Roe vs Wade. They hardly talk about gay marriage unless a significant event has happened.

Go to a Tea Party rally. Check how many people are harping on taxes, immigration, debt spending vs abortion and gay marriage. You would be shocked.

The conservative attitude towards those two issues are largely just reactive. There arent major conservative politicians in Washington trying to outlaw abortion or gay marriage.

But what do I know, I dont watch CNN or MSNBC so I am obviously not informed...

Mary Landrieu will vote for whatever the National Democratic Party tells her to no matter its impact on her own constituents.

When they let her oppose their plans, it's only because they have enough votes to pass whatever shite they are ramming through Congress without her lemming vote.

That is Senator Landrieu's decision." I informed the little a-hole that if she voted in favor of this that I intended to do everything I could to ensure she would be defeated in her next election. And he laughed and hung up.

Sounds consistent with what I got when I called and asked she vote against obamacare.
