Teedy Recall & Orleans Parish Voter Roll
Posted on 2/14/23 at 7:17 am

Knowing that the recall has to get a certain percentage of the registered voters in the parish, and that some portion will likely be tossed out for a variety of reasons, I wonder if the Orleans Parish voter roll is as cooked as most think it is.
Meaning, if there are people on the roll listed as eligible to vote but are either dead or not living in the parish anymore, would that create an angle for the recall effort to sue for an update to the roll, therefore bringing the required number of signatures needed lower?
We know that Orleans Parish hasn't taken care of the roll. I bet the ACTUAL number of eligible voters is much lower than advertised, therefore the recall may have already cross the rubicon??????

Have you looked at gravestones yet?
Definitely got some older generations that would gladly vote her out

Something like 27% of registered voters citywide showed up for her last election, there is no need to fake votes

Not talking about faking votes.
I'm questioning the number of signatures needed for the recall to pass to the next step of the process.
The city can't keep traffic lights working on it's main streets, what are the odds they are keeping an updated roll? Nearly zero.

I have family that haven't lived in my city since Katrina and everytime I go to vote I see their names on the roll.

That's my point.
The threshold for the recall to be successful is likely much lower than advertised.
There will be litigation about this very soon.

The threshold was lowered a bit recently after cleanup of the voter roll. Not huge but like from 52k down to 49k needed ((real bar napkin there, not pointing at those as real numbers but reasonable approximations off the top of my head))

Interesting suit. Likely has alot of merit and means the actual number the recall needed is much lower.

It’s not registered voters, it’s active voters.
I haven’t read the definition of an active voter.

Just saw this on WWL. What it really says is they don't think they have enough signatures and don't expect there's much of a chance to get them by the Wed. deadline.
I hate LaToya and her arrogance. I'd love to see her recalled not only because she's incompetent, but because it will shatter her fragile ego. The post recall presser would be the stuff of legends. All of her go to excuses - black, female, safety, mental health, racism, white supremacy, etc. all rolled into a nonsensical tirade of LaToya gibberish. It would be beautiful.
But it doesn't look like it will happen. To quote Dr. Martin Luther King Jr during this Black History month, "I have a dream!"

Cantrell recall organizers file suit, claiming over 30,000 errors on Orleans active voter rolls

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Organizers of an effort to recall New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell have filed a lawsuit against parish and state voting officials.
The lawsuit, filed by Eileen Carter and Belden Batiste on Thursday (Feb. 16) in Orleans Parish Civil District Court, claims the list of active voters provided by Orleans Registrar of Voters Sandra Wilson and Secretary of State Kyle Ardoin is off by more than 30,000 names.
“The data presented in this pleading should be alarming and embarrassing to the citizens of Orleans Parish and to the State of Louisiana,” the suit reads.
Organizers say an independent analytics firm checked U.S. Postal Service change-of-address records against the Secretary of State’s voter roll and found thousands of people who had moved out of Orleans Parish or died that were never purged by the registrar and still remain on the active voters list. State law requires the registrar to purge voter rolls annually by June 30.
if anything this effort by the recall may expose what has been gospel all along about voter fraud

You're about to see how having the same people on the bench that you have in other offices basically makes them all bulletproof.

She is going to double on the "Destroya" part when this fails.

Pretty sure questioning voter roll integrity is considered treason to Democrats. No irregularities are possible.

The corrupt governor elections where Orleans reports last and swings the vote for a Demo victory are over when the REAL voter roll gets corrected.
