What makes you state that McGuire is a substantially more moderate candidate.

Is this moderate in your opinion?

quote:

John J. McGuire is a state senator, former Navy SEAL and election denier, even attending the “Stop the Steal” rally at the Ellipse on Jan. 6, 2021. He is an America First isolationists who wants to crack down at the southern border, block aid to Ukraine and shrink government spending.

I would say that makes your characterization out of sorts.

I like Good, and I don’t like McCarthy, but this sounds like political alignment.

I mean, didn’t Good have to be told by Trump to stop using his name on political literature and signs? Didn’t Trump actually have to issue a cease and desist.
Did that not happen?

If so, (and it did) it exposes Good, especially given him bailing on Trump with his endorsement of Ron.

Had he put Ron’s name on his signs…cool. But that’s not what happened.

Putting Trump’s name on his stuff is poor form, and says something about the man imho.

Here are the signs, for reference:

[quote]Shouldn't have endorsed DeSantis. Trump does not behave rationally on stuff like this and we've known it for years and years.[/quote

Trump could be a millipede and he’d run out of feet to shoot himself in.

We all know what we're getting with Trump.

Lower personal and corporate income taxes? Eliminating a shitload of stupid and unnecessarily burdensome regulations hamstringing business and business investment/growth? Energy Independence? Cheaper gas and groceries, cheaper lifesaving pharmaceuticals? One of the strongest economies and job markets this country has ever seen? No new wars? Exposure of the corrupt Deep State D.C. establishment machine? Pushing back on our worst enemies like China? Negotiating better trade deals that do not fleece the U.S.? Promoting bringing manufacturing for U.S. companies back to the U.S.? My 401K kicking serious arse? A closed border, an aggressive ICE and deportation of illegals? Standing up for police and law enforcement and allowing them to do their jobs? Forgoing his Presidential salary and doing the job for free? Mean tweets?

Because that's what we got in his first term.

Kevin McCarthy pumped a ton of money into his campaign, and Donald Trump has actively endorsed him over Good because Good supported his close friend Desantis in the primary.

If you're on the same side as McCarthy, you're wrong.
This was monumentally stupid of Trump. This is what happens when you are ruled by your ego and not your brain - you're stuck on stupid.

And people think he won't get steamrolled by Graham & Co. He supported McCarthy. Supports Johnson. Pushed through the last big Ukraine money bag. He went after the 2nd Amendment. Signed off on FISA. Wants to build the FBI a new palace. "Get your shots" too. And now is working to take out the lead of the Freedom Caucus, in conjunction with McCarthy.

Trump is the swamp.

His record. You should look into it closer.

He's been pretty squishy at best and very moderate on a lot of issues. He co-sponsored a bill that allows boys to compete in girls sports, among many other things.

There's an extensive list of things out there.

or just ask yourself:

Who did Rand Paul, Thomas Massie, and Chip Roy support?

And who did Kevin McCarthy support?

I'm not missing them because they are here again.

Trump is pretty much the same, politically, as them.

Fair enough.

Your assessment seems legit based on that info.

In every recent competitive primary and in those primaries yet to be decided, Trump has endorsed a moderate Republican over the conservative Republican.
For as much bullshite as liberals give Trump for being a conservative wanna be dictator, Trump is center right on most issues. What they hate is his delivery and he hurts their feelings.

It tells me that he is a politician doing what he had to do to remain viable in Virginia.

Good plastering Trump’s name all over his signs is another example of doing what is deemed politically necessary.

I think that both examples paint them in a negative light.

It is what it is.

It is.

I mean it gets far worse. Trump tried to Primary Massie multiple times.

He endorsed STACY ABRAMS over Brian Kemp for Governor of Georgia. A literal left wing blm democrat.

It is what it is. We have to live with it because we don't have a choice, the alternative is worse.
