For context, Trump has supported the same Fair Tax, which would add a national sales tax *instead of* other federal taxes including income tax. So have Matt Gaetz, Byron Donalds, Greg Steube, and MTG.

This deserves to be posted over and over.

Seeing Trump attack DeSantis with left wing points means you can assume Trump agrees with the left.

Apparently not the 23% part. 23% is way too high.

Average tax revenue currently is 17%. IDK why you would want to increase that.

Shhh. Let them set this BS narrative more firmly.

It is hilarious to watch.

They are still claiming Jeb is Ron’s campaign manager.

I have a hard time believing you are a conservative.

The "fair tax" has been talked about by people and politicians on the right for 15 years. You act like you don't know anything about it.

If trump didnt support 23% the context and community note is false.

Note should say similar or cite where Trump said lets do 23%

The first rule of being a Trumpkin is that Dear leader is always right. So if you have to forget everything you know about a subject to support Dear Leader, you forget everything you know.

So Trump’s real complaint is that he would support an 18% or 20% sales tax but not a 23% sales tax? Lol.
