I’m really surprised by the responses in this thread. People always praise the help I got from LSURussian during our adoption in Russia but reply with this kind of nonsense when an LSU fan is stuck in this situation with 2 young children?

All this thread is asking for is help spread the word and bring attention to his emergency. It takes less than 1 minute to send a tweet.

If you’re not willing to do that, you can help by not trolling this thread or voicing your worthless opinion about his travel choices. Also, you suck.

Same to you. I couldn’t imagine — just trying to visit family and being basically stuck. I guess that at least being with family is better than being stranded in a hotel.

I have no pull but took a moment to retweet for Honkus. Hoping he and his family make it back home safe. Prayers.

His wife is Chinese and they went to see her family for the Chinese New Year, then this whole thing blew up.

Jorts I’m sure he appreciate this — not many of us have any pull. Thanks.

FFS, go to the coast, grab a sailboat, go to Korea or Japan, and fly home. It isn't difficult.

As if that’s remotely easy. He also has a toddler and baby with him.

Go to marinetraffic.com and look at the thousands of boats and ships from around the globe currently traveling the Yangtze River. Words like "stuck" and "Stranded" are sheep words. If you value your family, you will be getting your boogie on now. To wait will just see foreign ports shut down to you, including our own.

Worst response I've ever read on any internet board, ever.

There is reasonable concern that the closing of these Chinese cities is a political issue, and the "flu concern" is a Red Herring.

Shining a bright public light on an issue like this (in any manner possible) has value.

His only hope right now is to contact American Citizen Services in China.

As you can imagine, they are flooded now, but there are officers working trying to get through this.

I would maybe reach out to Shenyang since it is the smallest and far away compared to others. Good luck.

Visiting family during Holidays is also a huge motivator. Been that way for centuries and centuries.
