Let me step back. I was only looking at it from
my point of view. There are people who don’t enjoy crowds, big festivals, Mardi Gras, etc. and you may be one of them.

I’ve been in Beijing and Guangzhou for Chinese New Year and thoroughly enjoyed it. Sorry for my presupposition.

Indeed my point. Airports and train stations are cattle yards, and everywhere else is just a stew of slow moving people. Not my thing.

When I lived in Singapore, I would never schedule a trip to China near CNY. Truth be told, I’d even try to be in Australia or India to avoid hearing dragon dances 10 times a day.

I cannot imagine being so helpless that I need government to come save my family and me. FFS, go to the coast, grab a sailboat, go to Korea or Japan, and fly home. It isn't difficult.

Yeah. That’s how this works.

Wanna know how I know you’ve spent very little time outside the US?

Never understood American visiting 3rd world places, where infections and diseases are as easy to get, as buying a 12 pack at QT.

It's not a coinky dinky that Asians wear f'in masks daily.

IB is too busy trying to find out how this impacts the tariffs and Chinese film tax credits right now.

You believe the Chinese government would just stop roadway traffic but ignore river traffic?
