I remember this story from 2007. TN state trooper killed by two illegals in the county north of mine.

Would think TN is a safer, more insulated area to stay away from this crap. It’s a true barometer of how bad things have gotten.

Similarly, how many small towns have cops that speak Spanish? They can’t conduct a routine traffic stop, so many have just stopped trying. Of course, even those who can speak English claim ignorance and get off.

Probably. Last I checked Tennessee is not on the border. There's absolutely nothing keeping TN from enforcing its own laws on everyone within its jurisdiction.

If they're doing something illegal in TN that's against state law, the state there is totally empowered to put them in prison. Is this complicated?

I have a lot of family in law-enforcement and it’s been like this for several years that they will just let an illegal walk. If it’s not some type of felony because the feds will not pick them up then they get stuck with this person and they end up getting off at some point or they lie about who they are and they can never find out their actual identification. So, just like the Mexican trains, it’s just better not to even pull them over and get tied up into a bunch of BS that ends up with nothing because of the feds not doing their job.

Hanky? Is that you?
What if they are just speeding? What if their train is completely unsafe? What if they are doing any of the thousand things citizens would be stopped and fined for, but not arrested? Then you find out they have no license. Then you find out they have no insurance. Then you find out they have no green card.
Do you waste the time and ink to write a citation that will never be paid? You call ICE, and they say let them go. So they are not held to any standard, much less the standard that you hold citizens to. Not to mention the money the government charges citizens for the same privilege freely given to criminal illegals.
