The Taliban takeover, yes. The massive amounts of weapons being left behind and lucking out that the Taliban is making the smart decision to let Americans leave... no. This is either a shitshow of incompetence, or done intentionally with nefarious intentions (i.e. we need to send in a shitload of troops back into the area).

The problem is that half of the GOP is just as complicit in this. Our government is beyond corrupt save for a handful of people. They’ve gotten away with it for so long and nothing was done so they feel like they’re invincible

To be fair, and to that point only, it was left for the Afghan Army. They folded like a cheap tent, though, and that should have bee foreseen. So, there's still plenty of blame for that blunder.

They simply have nothing positive to say or an effective spin yet. They are hiding, plain and simple. It will probably work for them, too, as Americans will get out. Whether or not the media allows people to see the locals who helped us getting beheaded in the streets will determine how much spin will be needed.

Can someone unban ihometiger for christ sakes. He was a Senior level intelligence military analyst in the region and owned a large private security contractor company there. He said a few months ago he was saw this coming and I would love to hear his insight into this fiasco.

My uncle was third in command of DHS a few years ago. He flew with a full communications team that made sure he was connected at all times. Biden knows what's going on, and has the entire time.

I’m honestly not sure if I’m going to be able to sleep due to the anger of this. Might as well just say if you don’t have a vaccine we’re going to throw you in an oven. Irredeemably evil for our government and our corporations
