Actually, no. All that has to happen is Biden resigns, Kamala becomes President, she appoints DeSantis as her VP, he’s approved by Congress, and then she resigns. That’s the quickest way the Constitution provides to the Presidency in times of emergency.

Nancy doesn’t want it though. She’s happy with her lifestyle and doesn’t want the scrutiny of the Presidency or live in the White House. If Kamala becomes President, then Nancy doesn’t become VP. The VP is typically a worthless position only important for times like now when there’s a tie in the Senate. It’s only if Kamala additionally resigns with no VP that Nancy would become President. I don’t think Nancy wants any part of it.

Well Pak has nukes and cares about their sovereignty while Afghanistan isn’t a state by any meaningful measure, for starters
