Lol, folks. Some excerpts from that WSJ article...
quote:
“In the last days, there was no food, no water and no weapons,” said trooper Taj Mohammad, 38. Fleeing in one armored personnel carrier and one Ford Ranger, the remaining men finally made a run to the relative safety of the provincial capital, which collapsed weeks later. They left behind another 11 APCs to the Taliban.
quote:
“Everyone just surrendered their guns and ran away,” said Rahimullah, a 25-year soldier who joined the army a year ago and served in the Shahr-e-Bozorg district of northeastern Badakhshan province. “We didn’t receive any help from the central government, and so the district fell without any fighting.”
quote:
Mr. Ghani had ample warning of the American departure after the Trump administration signed the February 2020 agreement with the Taliban that called on all U.S. forces and contractors to leave by May 2021. Yet, the Afghan government failed to adjust its military footprint to match the new reality. Many officials didn’t believe in their hearts that the Americans would actually leave.
“Politically it was suicide to leave certain regions, and to concentrate on certain others, and that made the Afghan army overstretched and critically dependent on close air support for logistics, medevac and combat operations,” Afghan Foreign Minister Haneef Atmar, who previously served as national-security adviser and interior minister, said in an interview.
“We did not have enough transition time to move from that arrangement to a new arrangement, to bring back forces from areas that are difficult to defend and to concentrate on the main population centers,” he added.
quote:
Mr. Ghani and his national-security adviser, Hamdullah Mohib, were opposed to last year’s Doha agreement and expected the Biden administration to reverse course instead of doubling down on the deal struck by Mr. Trump.
Mr. Mohib, a British-educated former ambassador with no military experience, took direct control of military operations, calling unit commanders and issuing orders that bypassed the normal chain of command, according to several senior government officials and diplomats. He couldn’t be reached for comment.
quote:
Mr. Ghani routinely sacked commanders. The latest chief of the army lasted less than two months.

Where the frick is Biden? This is completely unacceptable and is thousands of times worse than Benghazi.

That gif makes me so angry. This is going to get bad, and while that’s the most disturbing video I’ve seen in a while, I’m preparing for much worse.

This isn't a funny situation as I am sure many Americans will be hunted and killed by the Taliban but the memes are starting and they are brutal

The desperation shown on his Twitter is ugly. Biden and the Military leaders screwed this up. This has all the makings of a massive catastrophe

Someone posted in another thread that Americans were having to sign promissory notes of $2000 yesterday to get out of there WTH??
But this admin left countless billions in weapons and equipment, and will give them billions more.
But citizens are gonna have to pay 2 grand to try and save their lives.

Reminiscing about Corn Pop.
Seriously, he now has to resign for this as does Kamala. Have Kamala be President for a few days, force her to make DeSantis her VP, and then resign. We’re at a World War II level of emergency right now, and we need a Churchill to heal the country and take on China, because rest assured the chaos that is going on in Afghanistan right now the big winner is China. DeSantis has to be made President. He’s earned it and I think is the only person who can save us from total destruction and China ruling the world.

There's no telling how many of these terrorists are in America already given the open door policy on the border from this incompetent and evil administration. Thanks leftists and all the dipshit "moderates" on here.

This might be the angriest I’ve ever been at my government.

Bruh Biden and his handlers are a bunch of coward bitches. Over there trying to negotiate and beg for the Taliban to spare their embassy and people. If it were me I'd give an ultimatum. If anybody touches my shite or starts executing the stranded USA citizens I will wipe out one Afghan city for every one life lost. Bet they don't kill anyone. Everyone's a gangster until the mushroom cloud shows up. Remember how the Japs were gangsters in 1945?
