Probably takes youngsters 6 months to fire a gun.
What? You think Marines don’t fire a gun for 6 months? Army has live fire the first 1/2 of 8 week basic. Army 11 Bravo can be on patrols within weeks of finishing training which I think is somewhere around 16 weeks.
These guys being 20 has nothing to do with what they may or may not have done.

That's just heart breaking. HOw did any commercial flights make it out w/o being shot down?
Why the hell did Biden pull the military out of Afganistan?
No wonder libs love him so much. Anything that allows an anti-Christian org get an advantage.
Normally Libs like seeing military people hurt.

What the hell was this administration thinking having Kabul as the only way out?
It's mind boggling isn't it?
We could have been doing this whole op from Bagram which was one of the most secure places on the planet for Americans/westerners to be at if they had to be in a hostile territory. Not to mention it is large enough where this all could have been done faster and without having to rely on the motherfricking Taliban to pull security. But nope. We cut and ran in the middle of the night for whatever reason.

For those who have asked about my son a small update.
He texted a little while ago and said he is good. Now here is the part that hit me in the feels-
He asked how everyone in Louisiana was doing (he has aunts and uncles in Baton Rouge and New Orleans). He is in a war zone for all intents and purposes and took a minute to ask about those affected by Ida. Man do I love the young man he has become.

Press Secretary Butthead on how many Americans are left in Afghanistan: Ask the State Department

Just when you think it can't get worse...
Pentogon knew and did nothing about suicide bomber
Nah, let's leave the gate open and our people exposed...
Hey, Biden voters are you happy yet?

During the meeting, Gen. Mark Milley, the chair of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, warned of “significant” intelligence indicating that the Islamic State’s Afghanistan affiliate, ISIS-K, was planning a “complex attack,” the notes quoted him as saying.
Commanders calling in from Kabul relayed that the Abbey Gate, where American citizens had been told to gather in order to gain entrance to the airport, was “highest risk,” and detailed their plans to protect the airport.
“I don’t believe people get the incredible amount of risk on the ground,” Austin said, according to the classified notes.
Nah, let's leave the gate open and our people exposed...

On a separate call at 4 that afternoon, or 12:30 a.m. on Thursday in Kabul, the commanders detailed a plan to close Abbey Gate by Thursday afternoon Kabul time. But the Americans decided to keep the gate open longer than they wanted in order to allow their British allies, who had accelerated their withdrawal timeline, to continue evacuating their personnel, based at the nearby Baron Hotel.

Congressman Ronnie Jackson tells a story where some of his constituents are trapped behind enemy lines that led to a 15 year old getting badly beaten and the mother having a gun out to her head when trying to get to the airport: Twitter
Keep in mind that the August 31st deadline isn’t just for our soldiers, it’s addressed to all of our civilians there as well. Wednesday I’m thinking is just going to be a crazy bad day between this and the hurricane.

Au Contraire, 4 months of basic training does not permit superior functioning out side the gate, in a mob, that dresses differently and hides weapons, that speaks a totally foreign language, where all males carry guns, with a peer group of similar experience marines , a culture that lies, without tolerance for the 2-3 marine females, standing close together creates higher risk. This is all without considering rules of engagement .
The battalion level leadership screwed the pooch in setting up these young people as a target

Can anyone confirm that these are real photos and the legitimacy of the claims below?

It’s an absolute shitfest to see the Taliban now actually flying US BlackHawk helicopters, hanging people by the throat from them!!
The American President will never be forgiven for this!!

If this is real then that is cause to destroy every piece of American equipment in that country when we leave.
It is not in our National interest to allow US military equipment that is made in the US to be used in acts of terrorism and intimidation of a population by thugs to the extent we can keep it from occurring.

The problem isn’t so much them using it. The actual problem is China, Russia, and Iran purchasing these vehicles from the Taliban and reverse engineering them. That’s where this scares me.

It isn't a stretch to imagine SecDef Lloyd Austin (Raytheon Board of Directors) leaving that gear, knowing that his former company will make billions more "upgrading" the tech packages on ALL of the gear currently in the US stockpiles because it is all now compromised.

I keep hearing this but I don't understand it.
Do we really think that the Chinese/Russians don't have plans to Humvees/Black Hawks/Little Birds/MaxxPros?

While China is great at making electronics and clothing, they really suck in the vehicle department. Chinese mechanical engineering really, really sucks. Save for the AK-47 Russia has been notoriously terrible at that as well.
