It's starting to look like we killed 6 kids, 3 adults with our last airstrike. What a mess.

We are aware of reports of civilian casualties following our strike on a vehicle in Kabul today.
We are still assessing the results of this strike, which we know disrupted an imminent ISIS-K threat to the airport. We know that there were substantial and powerful subsequent explosions resulting from the destruction of the vehicle, indicating a large amount of explosive material inside that may have caused additional casualties. It is unclear what may have happened, and we are investigating further.
We would be deeply saddened by any potential loss of innocent life.

What probably happened is that the Taliban told them bombers were in the vehicle and the timing and route of the vehicle. The taliban tricked the US into killing their own people.

I had the same thought. Since we are now "partners" with the Taliban and all, I'm sure they would share intel with us. I just don't believe they knew of a suicide attacker heading to the airport and were able to intercept. We never had that kind of intel when had all of our assets there as well as the trust of many Afghans. No way we have it now.
Of course, it could just be misinformation by the Taliban in an attempt to further embarrass us on the way out.

Would not surprise me. Same as I think Taliban were involved in the first suicide bombing and passed us a warning to cya.
They could have passed us bad information here to get us to kill children to make us look bad.
Then when we take off attempt to shoot down a plane, blame IS and say it’s retaliation for this drone strike to continue to try to make us look bad. We are being played.

Afgans have been using the same tactic for 200 years...."It wasn't us that attacked you, it was the other Agfans from that tribe over there!" Trust us.

Saw some former military guy on TV say that there was no way a bomb that size was planted or carried in without people knowing. He suspects it was planted before the isis fricks were even freed from Bagram. But who knows.

"We’re dealing with Kabul. There’s 7 buses of female American citizens. The CG refused to open the gate. We have a congressman with us and he had the state department reach out. MG Donahue refused. 10 minutes ago the females were taken by the Taliban. They are likely dead now."

Yes source is the retired special ops on the ground in Afghanistan trying to rescue Americans & Afghans but the USG stopped cooperating and on Sunday started actively blocking their efforts on Sunday - cited Biden @whitehosue @StateDept and @DeptofDefense twitter.com/heckyessica/st…

I have no idea how much of this is true, but it's out there circulating on the twitters. I feel like these last 48 hours are going to take this cluster f*ck to an entirely different level. Probably not safe to believe anything, from anyone, at this point, but I'm sick thinking about the onslaught our troops are gonna get as they try to get off the ground.

I hope this isn't true but why would there be this many women in that hell hole at this point?

The stats they are pushing on the news are false. There are many more American citizens who want to escape but have no option because our own government keeps halting all actions.
We who are trying to save these people have run into roadblock after roadblock.

From JBS XO:
The situation is worse. Details will come out shortly.
Commander 82nd refused to let AMERICAN CITIZEN women and children inside the wire. He wants a job after he retires. Six figures on the bones of American civilians. He would have pushed Jews in the ovens.

quote:As my son and I were discussing the other night... Are SAM 28000 and 29000 (AF1/2) the only 2 planes with heavy defensive capabilities? As tonight has shown, they're probably going to have at least 1 of the C-RAMs operational when wheels are up on that final plane. (I can only imagine how sideways things would go if that plane was shot down by one of those missiles we gifted those savages.)
I'm sick thinking about the onslaught our troops are gonna get as they try to get off the ground.
I suspect they'll probably give those final flights some air cover over Kabul. If we had some intelligent leadership (not leadership taking afternoon naps in front of foreign leaders) they'd time up B-2s out of WAFB to enter Afghan air space as the last troops took off....drop hell onto HKIA/Bagram/the weapons caches we left behind.
And just thinking about that flight time, they would have to take off pretty freaking soon considering August 31st there ends on Tuesday at 1:59 CDT. With flight time that would mean wheels up between 10pm-12am tomorrow night. Planning on is final stages now. If the report with the busses is true then it really sucks but at this point withdraw the troops immediately and carpet bomb Kabul back to the stone ages. I don't see a better option to plan since we're so close to the deadline and every minute is another chance for those bastards to take more shots at our troops.

We should drop a dozen MOAB's on the way out.
I'm sure I'm going to be disappointed when this doesn't happen.

Sickening They are already celebrating taking over all of the US taxpayer funded 'Afghan property'.
The video was shot by this guy who seems to be celebrating Ike hitting the US.

Soooo why haven’t we bombed the frick out of all the planes, helicopters, vehicles and equipment that Taliban are getting there hands on? All those military planes sitting out there in the open and we can’t drone that shite but can kill a bunch of kids?

Hopefully not true.
One possible explanation is they were traveling from the outlying areas of Afghanistan. The roads are shite, Talibs in control so movement would likely have to been secret and it could have been it took this long to get to our ONE FREAKING EXIT POINT!!! What the hell was this administration thinking having Kabul as the only way out? Oh yeah we are lead by pudding brains.
