You say this like thousands of US soldiers haven't died in the 20 years we've been pointlessly occupying Afghanistan. Every US administration since WWI has had American servicemen's blood on their hands.
This.
Everyone is so shortsighted. We should have never been in this war.

Everyone agrees we should pull out which would undoubtedly cause chaos in the country.
We pull out.
Chaos ensues.
“The taliban are in control!?? No!! We need to go to war!”

Rip the bandaid off and get the hell out of there. Too many US soldiers and innocent civilians have died because of our presence. Enough is enough.

This is what happens when you half-arse a mission and when I say half-arse, I mean the commitment to it, not the execution of it from those on the ground. Biden was so afraid to have military casualties that he wouldn't provide the resources to either expand the perimeter around the airport or reopen Bagram and make for a more defensible situation that he's left our troops sitting in a fishbowl surrounded by friendlies, Taliban, and ISIS. It's an impossible situation to defend. Getting out now without more casualties is going to be a real challenge.

You can get the civilians out before the soldiers and avoid casualties

You can't be this fricking oblivious.

Are you completely fricking ignoring the decision to pull our military out *before* our civilians, without even fricking telling our allies?

That we gave up our most secure and capable airfield BEFORE evacuating civilians?

Chaos ensued not because we pulled out, but how. If you can't see that, then you're nothing more than a partisan shitbag.

Here come the talking points again.
You do realize there were ways to get out without causing this chaos right?

This part means that you have accepted that the clusterfrick that Biden has caused and repeatedly lied about was inevitable.

According to people within his own administration, that simply is not the case.

4 Marines killed
3 Marines severely wounded
Large number of american citizens reportedly killed and wounded. Over 60 dead and 130 wounded so far--US State Dept not releasing the number of dead/wounded American civilians. 60% of the 120 are in critical condition.

Almost everybody - very close to unanimous.

which would undoubtedly cause chaos in the country.

Chaos after we are out or chaos before we are out? After was a very high likelihood but it did not have to happen while we still had people there. A properly staged withdrawal would have enabled an oderly exit and then the chaos could or could not have happened.

Biden snuck out in the middle of the fricking night and let this shite happen.

It really is a direct regurgitation of the talking points Pelosi sent out last week. They don't even realise what they are parroting.

I’m talking about over the past 20 years. This was going to be a shite show no matter who was running it. Trump knew it would look like a debacle and didn’t want to take the hit. Biden’s senile arse just said frick it, I’ll take the heat.

Of course, lots of powerful people would like nothing more than another 20 years there.

This is the most anti deep state/ anti establishment move a president has pulled in a long time if you think about it.

I'm a lot more concerned now about the situation on the ground after seeing credible reports from international sources that several hundred ISIS fighters have descended upon the airport. There are now credible reports that military planes will be targeted by RPG fire.
