That’s exactly what I was afraid of. It seems like the number of Americans getting out is a small fraction of the number estimated to be over there.

On Bilal Sarwary leaving. I think he sums it up quite well.

The last number I’ve seen is that we’ve evacuated a total of 2,500 Americans, which is disastrous to say the least. Unless we drastically change tactics, I don’t see more than 4,000 of them total getting out of there.
Well yeah, not if their only method of getting to the airport is by stepping out of their current shelters and hailing the nearest goat to ride through multiple Taliban controlled checkpoints like our government essentially expects them to.

The Chinese play the long game. They aren't looking to attack tomorrow.
They pretty much destroyed our economy over 20 year period while we were fricking about in the ME.
Their govt is playing chess while our politicians are looking for the quickest buck.

@DefenceHQ
The fact that it had to be officially announced that the militaries of the US and UK "reaffirmed their partnership" is pretty damn telling.

The problem is I don’t think they’d provide the Taliban the parts for that. What they want is to reverse engineer those things and the Taliban will likely happily sell it to them.

Was thinking the same thing yesterday for all of this equipment. It all requires constant maintenance, more then people think. Humvee and Blackhawk is no Toyota pickup truck. Unless Biden somehow starts shipping the Taliban parts.

As far as Afghanistan is concerned, china won't attack, they will invest.
They don't have to attack. The Taliban seeks legitimacy, or at least a facade of it. They will partner with china with the ultimate goal of developing the country's natural resources. china is adept at playing the corruption game. They'll probably manage their interest there quite well, and with little-to-no Western oversight, they can paint whatever picture they want.

I apologize
I didn't mean attack Afghanistan, they want to destroy the West and it's mentality/influence and I agree they will invest in Afghanistan
And they just acquired a shite ton of US military secrets without having to have the Clintons backdoor it to them.

So our cowardly worm of a Secretary of State went on with Chris Wallace this morning, and this is what he was asked and said: YouTube
quote:
CHRIS WALLACE: Mr. Secretary, does the president not know what's going on?
BLINKEN: This is an incredibly emotional time for many of us.

This is probably from yesterday, but it is video from inside the airport with a bit of commentary from what sounds like one of our guys:

Yeah, I’m sure we got 8,000 out of there yesterday with scenes like that. Wouldn’t shock me if they came out and said they accidentally added an extra zero to that. It wouldn’t be the first time this week when they conflated 300,000 with 30,000.

Didnt the Pentagon yesterday confirm the majority of people evacuated the other day were Afghans?

That'll really relieve the stress of the situation....

That must have been a helluva scene, considering they are packed in like sardines.

What happens if she would give birth in the plane while it is over the middle of the Atlantic Ocean? What would be the official birthplace?
