Hey Bill Maher and Sam Harris, was that vote really worth it?
So Sam has made a statement:
quote:
Biden achieves near-Trumpian negligence here. But unlike Trump, whose reputation among his fans was magically shielded from earthly damage, Biden can't get away with being a callous moron in an emergency—and he shouldn't. This is all just sickening.
Not near-Trumpian negligence. Way worse than Trumpian negligence. As someone who runs a company, Sam has to know that Trump in the very least would have either gotten his equipment out of there or destroyed it. On a base level, Sam has to know that Trump knows how to balance a checkbook. And that’s not even to get into that Trump had a policy that got American citizens out of there first, that Biden disregarded. No, not near-Trumpian. This is much, much, much worse than Trumpian ideology.

Reuters link for the FAA announcement
quote:
WASHINGTON, Aug 18 (Reuters) - The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) said late Wednesday that domestic air carriers and civilian pilots can fly into Kabul to conduct evacuation or relief flights with prior U.S. Defense Department approval.
In a statement, the FAA said that without prior approval, U.S. carriers cannot fly over Afghanistan airspace or fly into Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul. The FAA cited "a lack of high altitude air traffic control services."

Yeah. I’m flying up to Virginia next week. No chance in hell I get to see him.

at the widespread practice of bacha bazi, or “boy play,” in which some Afghan commanders keep underage boys as sex slaves.
It goes back a long, long way specifically to Alexander the Great and his Greek/Macedonian army. Though I’m sure the Afghans & Muzzies have put their own creative spin on it. So tempted to include the South Park NAMBLA episode but I’ll let one of you other degenerates to do me proud.

Lately, it seems as all the flag officers are backstabbing politicians.
That’s not a recent phenomenon flag officers have a political approval process. Somewhere around light bird you have to make a decision - retire a Colonel or play the game.

Any Americans die in the process we are bringing 100,000 troops back and will stay another 20 years and kill every taliban alive.
Lol. It would be 2 months before American sensibilities were offended and calls for stricter ROEs were in place and it would be 2017 all over again.
The American public doesn’t have the stomachs for that.
