From what I've seen of Talarico, I'd be willing to bet his church has one of those colorful "We Believe" signs outside. The ones that list off 8 or so sayings like "we believe no human is illegal, we believe in science" etc..

Yep if any church, it's a church that worships wokeness as its messiah.

This is what happens when a church follows the DSA mantra rather than The Word of GOD.
Sadly, you see it a lot. Lots of young kids who want something called church, but want it to align with their political beliefs 100%.
Christ was clear, He’s no where near those buildings. Those buildings have a father, and his name is Satan.

I don't know why y'all are still arguing about this.
Some poll 6 weeks ago had Talarico up by 3%. This race is all over! That thread said so.

Then why do they call their gathering a “church”?
Posted on 9/9/26 at 7:52 am to CIGAR_cigarillo
They have “members” who would claim to not even be Christian??
How did they become members, then? Membership requires baptism and a profession of faith in Jesus Christ.
If they claim to be atheists after becoming members, they should be counseled to repent or be disciplined and excommunicated.

These people are heritics.. I am so glad that Josh Hawthorne's ministry has taken a huge foothold in DFW area and his views are getting spread wide across the internet and social media. He is very down to earth and speaks really well, like a regular guy. He also talks about current events, politics and Talarico's comments regarding the Bible, and fact checks him against what is actually in the Bible. I really like his podcasts.

Tax free radical idealogy?
This isnt hard. Jesus told you they would do this.
America is the last hope. Satan is full court pressing. Muslims. Communist. Satanist all working together because they loathe the one true God.

There has been a huge effort in the last 2 decades by the Left to infiltrate religious entities with the DSA/DEI mantra, root out actual Christians & break up the churches, & use tax exempt status to preach their actual liberalism to indoctrinate. James Talarico is an example of one of these Leftists doing this with his “Church”.

The vast amount of mainline protestant denominations in cities, are not Christian at all.
They are an unserious tax-exempt organization used to funnel money to left-win causes.
Atheists and Agnostics go to these churches because they are trying to subvert the faith, by wrapping themselves in the cloth

IMO of all the so-called protestant reformed churches none is more liberal than the Presbyterian community.
I have a friend married a Presbyterian lady and attended services with her. But one day he expressed doubt to me about the validity of this church. The problem? The music minister was gay and the Pastor presided over the marriage of this music minister to his gay lover.
The problem I see, when the culture loses it's moral center, all kinds of odd, absurd, and downright evil practices gain acceptance. I attach a term to this tendency - Moral Relativism. The absence of absolute truth - and in the place of absolute truth - the culture embraces situational ethics. A sort of go with the flow, pick and choose version of Christianity.
Did Jesus ever come face to face with this Moral Relativism tendency? Yep, Jesus is standing before Pontius Pilate. Pontius Pilate knows enough about Jesus he'd prefer not to deal with Jesus. Plus, his wife had a dream about this man (Jesus) and warns her husband to have nothing to do with this man.
Pilate didn't listen. But Pilate is a procuator (an employee of the Roman emperor in civil, and now criminal, affairs) and the emperor owned him. Plus given the aristocratic wealthy Sadduccees in the Sanhedrin wanted Jesus to go away permenanty, Pilate was faced with a dilemma -. What to do with this man?
So at one point, Pilate asked Jesus,"Are you the king of the Jews?" To which Jesus responds, "Are you saying this on your own, or have others been telling you about me?" (hint: Jesus is now focused on the soul of the man Pilate). Pilate retorts,"I am not a Jew, it is your own people and the chief priest who have handed you over to me. What have you done?" To which Our Lord Jesus responds,"It is you who say I am a king. The reason I was born, the reason why I came into the world, is to testify to the truth. Anyone committed to the truth hears my voice" (John 18:33-38)
Is is then Pilate spews the lie that has plagued humanity and the basis for the moral relativist poison preached by so-called Christian Churches for millenia - "Truth!" said Pilate. "What does that mean?" (John 18:38). Jesus is condemned to die a horrible death, and Pilate washes his hands in front of the crowd. And therein my fellow Christians is when the scourge of Moral Relativism was laid upon mankind. Fast forward millenia to today - a mother murders her three children, pleads depression, and lets a jury absolve her of any culpability in the infanticide. And just like the man Jesus, A man (a male juror) steps forward to challenge the lie.
Where am I going with all this? Me thinks our friend James Talarico doth spew moral relativism in abundance.
