Take a breath - The president will be fine

There is literally not a single human being in the world that can receive better medical care than POTUS.
Even if he ends up on oxygen tomorrow or the next day, he'll be fine. They've already pumped him full of 2 different antibody treatments. His immune system is going to have a better head start than any other 74 year old has gotten.
Don't get me wrong. This is very serious. But by next weekend, his lack of ability to campaign will have been much more dangerous than the virus will be to him.

I hate to ask but... where did you find that?

So are you saying it’s possible this virus is actually dangerous to those who wouldn’t receive the absolute best possible health care?

You have not been to Trump's Twitter posts lately? That is the kind of stuff people are replying on his posts with.

if they are ancient and already sick

There is enhanced concern given it's the POTUS, thus there's corresponding enhanced care. Makes complete sense to me, as I hope it would to most.

Of course. A civilian 74 year old man with preexisting conditions receiving average medical care has around a 5% chance of death. Sure, that means a 95% chance of survival. But still, that 5% is a serious, no joke number.
Since POTUS is getting the literal best medical care in the world, of course his survival percentage chance will be [possibly significantly] higher than the average person.
**shrug** Is this really a question? Or were you hoping I would say "DuR hUr, vIrUs iZ fAkE NeWz!"

I think few people here are worried.

I guess from looking at this board, I figured it was no big deal. I guess it is.

I'm certain it's all precautionary. My ex and I both had Covid. Her case was more severe than mine. The severe symptoms of trouble breathing and chest pressure progress from slight to severe within hours rather than a slow progression over days. I'm sure the White House medical staff are erring on the side of "overly cautious" considering their patient is the POTUS.

Then your reading comprehension sucks. No one on this board has seriously said Covid is no big deal across the board. For certain types it’s a big deal.
What has been said repeatedly is it’s not such a big deal we had to shite everything down and allow the numbers of suicides and malnutrition and other types of deaths to outpace the Covid deaths.

If the President scraped his knee I'd be more worried.

You don't know that. There's no way anyone can know at this point. The virus affects everyone differently. Plus he's higher risk cause of this age and his weight. It's simply too early to say either way.
