The guy who authored a book about that meeting died by suicide in Tuscaloosa after moving back there because he felt his life was being threatened (maybe in Phoenix).
I used to know the guy’s brother in law (Lafayette family) who confirmed the suicide story and completely discounted the conspiracy theory. Of course, he was a big Trump hater so always made me wonder.

The senate report had half cocked info and absolutely zero access to what we know now
Please tell me how much money Russians spent on social media adds and how many Russians were prosecuted by Mueller.
That entire charade from Warner (wolfe leaker) banks on manafort with Kilimnick and the trump tower meeting, where valanaskyia (sp) met with fusion gps prior.

But it was peaceful and other than PR or self-inflicted issues (Mueller, who was appointed by the Trump DOJ no matter how you spin it), nothing came of it.
There was no Russiagate impeachment.
The Mueller report was one of Trump's biggest victories in admin 1.
Russiagate in no way hurt Trump's ability to govern in any way

24/7 Russia talk, at least up to the midterms. Both NYT and WAPO complete coverage. Flynn getting canned. Comey firing leading to Rosenstein and 24/7 Mueller. Inability to build executive branch how you want. Sessions gone. Complete breakdown of foreign policy ability.
The list goes on and on. Frankly, not recognizing how detrimental the entire lie was to ruining a presidency because it's a complete onslaught from Dems, agencies, bad actors, media and others.
Not being able to recognize or admit that is what happened is duplicitous.

PR? Are you kidding. It was the only topic of discussion in 2017. Trump Russia. Sessions had to recuse from the Russia investigation because of public pressure. You're telling me Trump could have just said no and everything would have been just ok?

Flynn issues? He got railroaded because he was talking to the Russian diplomat, which is his job! Every single other presidency had done so, yet the driving Russia narrative turned it into a turkey shoot!

A reminder that Trump himself was not a subject or target until he fired Comey earning an obstruction of justice investigation.
But yeah, your complaint seems to be basically about PR.

I think it was Bongino who had a theory that the reason Obama expelled a bunch of diplomats is they wanted to see how Flynn reacted when they listened to his call.
