Part of their plan. Of course, this was supposed to be announced AFTER we signed the WHO agreement.

This Administration would have gone door to door in the name of “public health” and tell us that they have to follow the WHO.

Now, it’s mere virtue signaling…

This. We even have had graphs from the usuals showing that violent crime was decreasing.

Usual suspects…. Why this concern if violent crime is falling?

I'd say gang bangers and such are a public health crisis to other gang bangers.

Take them out of the equation and our numbers are better than other 1st world countries by a fair bit as I recall.

Most gun violence is suicide. I dont expect Progressives to understand that though.

My right to own a gun is guaranteed by the 2nd Amendment of the Constitution.

Is my health or right to being healthy guaranteed in the Constitution?

It worked with COVID and vax mandates at the state and federal level to take our rights away. So they will try it in other areas. Not surprising.....disgusting but not surprising.

boosie has a fair point. Trump did things that cause problems when the other side is in control.

This is so stupid for the Surgeon General. Car accidents, DUI's, knife attacks, lets go after all that too because that is much more worse than gun violence.
Lets just place warning labels on guns like they do cigarettes.

Surgeon General is correct. Just yesterday, saw a gun walking down the street all by itself, and randomly shooting itself. Guns are so dangerous! There is only one solution!

Fear not. The power-hungry tyrants will be happy to ban those things too. They do t care about health. They care about power.

Gun violence is not a public health crisis.

Mental health issues are a public health crisis.

I'd say weaponized stupidity is a far greater health crisis.

Looking at those photos... Just remember, white nationalists and white supremacists aka "Trump supporters," are the biggest terrorist threat in this country.

Right...I would wager almost all those guns in the photos are stolen or the holder is a felon...

But dems don't want to take THOSE guns.

Ok. Now, drill down into the statistics.
What do the majority of those being killed by guns have in common?

-Race
-Location
-Economic status
-Local government political affiliation
-Criminal history
-Family history

Now run the same statistics for the those committing the gun violence.

THAT is the public health crisis!!!

Per capita, gun deaths are a bigger problem in white, rural communities.

And those committing the violence are per capita more likely to be white, and live somewhere rural.

What an interesting point you made.

Guns aren't the problem.

So, with that logic wouldn't illegal crossings also be considered a health crisis? Raping and killing children and over 300 overdoses a day from Fentanyl.

Isn't "crisis" a relative term and isn't gun violence trending downward overall?

Within the last few weeks, the same administration waived, the victory flag Claiming that crime as well as violent crime are both down. Not sure how that victory reconciles with With this declaration.

Disarm black America and we'd be virtually crime free.
