Heavy weed use makes you fricking lazy and apathetic. The rest is propaganda from the liquor industry.

There have been quite a few papers on it, its not all just propaganda.

Heavy use increases your risk of schizophrenia substantially.

Weed with higher THC levels had a pretty direct relationship with first-case psychotic episodes.

Adolescents using it increasing their risk of psychosis pretty substantially.

Yeah a lot of modern research disagrees with you on this.

Guess you've never met a true alcoholic

Anxiety is definitely high up on that list when the cant get a drink when they want it.

Yeah I guess not, but fiending for a drink and thinking there are people in your walls are two different types of anxiety IMO

What about people who drink a lot of beer? They're a hell of a lot more violent than the lazy pothead on the couch eating Cheetoes and watching cartoons. Not even counting hard liquor and the bloody mayhem that follows it.

I think the premise is alcohol causes you to act the fool while drunk and you cannot handle firearms during that state. Marijuana alters the brain, some studies saying permanently. I’m not taking sides, just saying that would be A difference.

On an episode of the original Live PD some cops pulled over a SUV with a man and his wife. It was raining and the wind was blowing. Cop said he smelled something and asked them to let them search the vehicle.

The only exception to this is Captain Danny Brown. He can sniff out pot anywhere. He’s better than the dogs.

The science backs you up on this.

I think the issue for people is that it is also true that I would rather be around a guy smoking cannabis with a gun than a drunk guy with a gun. During the actual state of inebriation itself, it should be pretty obvious who is safer. The long term use is a different story though, and the one we are at least trying to discuss here.

Yeah, Pfizer has a long fricking reach. Psychotic potheads are a thing but we never ever see enraged morons with cheese in their hair going into a violent rage claiming someone stole their Xanaxes.

Trump needs to go ahead and have it rescheduled by FDA before the midterms.
Would help massively and as a libertarian at heart, I support it. Let the states decide.

This ruling would set precedent to infringe on those rights in other ways though.

Everyone will lie.
This is true, but the problem is whether or not you get dinged on a background check if the fed has you in a database as a legal MJ user at the state level.

I've already heard of that happening in rare instances.

As the OPer said, people on SSRIs and trans hormone "therapy," are who should be scrutinized first and foremost.

Long term alcohol use, particularly heavy drinking absolutely alters brain chemistry. As an MJ user, I wont down play the negative effects it can have on chronic users, especially for minors, but having lived with severe alcoholic sibling , I would take living with a pot head any day. And while this is just an anecdote, several of my friends are extremely productive professionals that indulge in MJ rather than drink and have not had any negative outcomes I've seen with other friends that drink regularly. Ive known at least 3 alcoholics that drank themselves to death in their 50's. All men with families and had great careers that could not control that demon. I believe both can be used responsibly but I only know of one that will kill you.
