They all start with supplemental oxygen.

So it's a precautionary treatment. So is a band-aid for an open wound that doesn't require stitches. I still don't get the OMG questions from the media about it.

He dropped below 94%.

Big fricking deal.

He was back above in an hour and has been on room air for 48 hours with a 98% sat rate now.

One of the first signs of a COVID crash is a drop in blood oxygen. Sounds like he had that.
His O2 level "crashed" all the way down to 94%.

Normal O2 level is 95%-100%.

After one hour on supplemental oxygen, the POTUS's O2 saturation rate was back up to 95% and the oxygen was removed.

That's taken directly from what the doctor said this morning on live TV.

Stop making shite up.

If they’d get admitted they would probably be given oxygen.
Seems like that’s SOP for hospitals
It’s something else you can get charged for.

I said he had a drop in blood oxygen. That’s pretty indisputable. I also said he weathered it.

I was a medic for 20 years in my prior life. One of the first things we were taught? “Oxygen for everyone.” They seriously taught us that. It’s something that never hurts and often helps the patient. The nasal cannula, what was posted in the photo, is a simple adjunct that offers both physical and mental relief to the patient. It’s just something that is done. Means nothing and it is a shame that some “source” took it upon themselves to leak their uninformed opinion to the media. Shut the frick up and let the doctors do their job.

The lungs overcompensate in fighting the virus which in turn inflames one's lungs which in turn drops oxygen saturation level.

Mine got ad low as 78. Wasn't intubated. Was and remain on oxygen. Last reading without use of supplemental was 96. Recovery continues.

I wish the first footage of him after discharge would be on the bow of a schooner racing across the waves like that old Duran Duran video.

About three weeks now. Inpatient it was "forced" then reduced to my own pace and remains at 2%. Each day is better. Do a lot of proning and deep breathing throughout the day.

Am better, thank you

There was a robust discussion about intubation and my DNR status

It’s pretty common to be put on oxygen for anything heart/chest pain related when you visit the ER.

This is really no big deal gets but it more or less is just another reason why the administration should just be transparent. I get it, ‘we don’t want to portray weakness’ blah blah blah. And I understand that you don’t want to portray a narrative of a world leader looking weak.

But just be open up about it next time rather than hide what really is an insignificant detail for probably the healthcare provider
