Yeah I’m pretty sure the bad people are winning. Why is it such an outlandish concept that maybe god is done with man? And the reason why there is so much suffering is because they killed his son?

I think you, and others, misunderstood what he was saying:

quote:

Yes, they have created and worship a flowery hippie ever tolerant of all things good or foul Jesus .

I believe he's saying (correctly, I might add) that the "lukewarm, special-Sundays-only types" have created this idea of a flower-child hippie type of Jesus who is accepting of any behavior no matter how ungodly.

Go back and re-read his response and see the post he's responding to and those around it.

We're not immune to the actions of the secular and evil, unfortunately. It will be a carpet bombing, and many of us will suffer.

We just have to pray that there are pockets of refuge to which we can flee and find safety among our brethren... But those gatherings will become bigger targets of the enemy.

But if you consider the timeline of this "carpet bombing" scenario in context, why do you figure that we or our brethren will even be here to need earthly refuge?

It is only the difficult troubles before the carpet bombing takes place which are a concern to us.

God is never done, mankind was saved on the cross. A second chance for humanity. If it didn't happen then the species would be lost to it's own destruction.

What will it take to make the people willingly gather at the water gate?

Let the Chronicles guide your prayers.

The bad people appear to be winning, but a sovereign God is always in control. He knows what coming, He knew before He made the first atom. That’s why He sent His Son. They didn’t kill Him, He was willing sacrificed.

Not to plagiarize but my favorite saying is there is a stairway to heaven and a highway to hell. It’s not easy to get to heaven but the climb is worth it. That highway is easy and full of materialistic bobbles but in the end and for eternity the climb is worth every step.

You're admitting he did those things with the expectation that everyone worship him. The literal opposite of selfless.

No. You’re saying that.

There’s nothing in those scriptures about Jesus doing things and expecting or demanding he be worshiped because of them. There’s no possibility of quid pro quo because God doesn’t need anything we have to offer.
quote:

Why not make all those sacrifices without demands upon everyone to worship him more than everyone else?

Again, no demands he be worshipped or worshipped more than anyone else. The scripture you’re so wound up about talks about loving someone or something more than you love God.

Consider this-And one of the scribes came up and heard them disputing with one another, and seeing that he (Jesus) answered them well, asked him, “Which commandment is the most important of all?”

Jesus answered, “The most important is, ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbour as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”

-Matthew 12:28-31

There’s order in this. God’s first command to any man is that he love God first and supremely with all he’s got and for all he’s worth. The second, and it’s more like the flip side of the first than a separate one, is love your neighbor, your fellow man, like you love your self. Treat them the way you want them to treat you. Jesus says there’s no greater commandment than those.

The order in that is a wholehearted relationship loving God makes possible healthy loving relationships with our fellow man.

In the passage that’s troubling you Jesus is warning that all manner of things and people, even those you love most can and will sometimes come between you and God. Don’t let them. I’ve seen many people let a wife, a husband, a child distract them from following Jesus and being his committed disciple.

It's funny how high over your head this is. The attempt to enlighten you would only waste both of our times, and frankly insult my intelligence.

Funny thing is both philosophy and science prove God and his plan for mankind. Yet, it is science and philosophy that atheist use to try to disprove Him.

I'm a Christian but this is simply false. And really stupid when you think about it for more than a moment.

If you are coming through town. You can back up those death threats you made.

See how that works out for your arse, you fat, cowardly, 50 year old unemployed "gamer". I'm not one of the 12 year old boys you victimize, EarlySandusky.

Your post history speaks for itself.

Satan is a great liar. Exactly where did I admit he did that to get worshipped? He actually did it because he loves us.

Jesus begged his father to save us. He gave his life for our sins and you think he is egotistica

So liar where did I admit what you claim.

Come on, pedo boy. You're coming through town, you say. Stop and back up those death threats you made. Threats your child predator arse should have been banned for making.

I'll put $1500 in my shirt pocket for travel expenses and my driver's license so you can doxx me.

How about it, Mr. Death Threats? You ready back them up?
