suburban parents driving McAuliffe panic in Virginia

In a Virginia gubernatorial debate on Sept. 29 with Republican opponent Glenn Youngkin, Democratic nominee and former governor Terry McAuliffe declared: “I don’t think parents should be telling schools what they should teach."`
Those 10 words – deserving of a top listing in the Hall of Fame of Political Blunders – may prove to be the turning point in a race in which McAuliffe was expected to cruise to victory, especially since Joe Biden won the blue state by more than 10 points on his way to the presidency in 2020.
Recent polls show all the trends going in Youngkin's direction, particularly among parents who (at least in some instances) might have sat out this off-year election if not for McAuliffe telling them their input isn't welcome when it comes to the education of their own children.
Couple that gift-wrapped campaign ad for Youngkin with the suddenly-toxic Democratic president sinking to 41 percent approval among Virginians in a recent USA Today/Suffolk poll, and you have a toss-up as to who will be Virginia's next governor. In a related story, two-thirds of Virginia voters feel the country is on the “wrong track.” Translation: The president's coattails are nonexistent in the state and may even be a net-negative to Democrats on the state’s ballots.

Doesn't matter. They'll just cheat harder.

Are mail-in ballots being used for this election?

That sign is why I will never understand the Democrat voter mindset
A slimy loser politician says something and all of a sudden Democrat voters believe it 100%
Zero critical thinking skills, rational thought, or common sense. Just parrot the D party no matter how fricking ridiculous it is

Imagine telling a majority of the electorate (parents) that they shouldn't have an input in their child's education and expecting them to agree with you.

I think that sign is not associated with the McAuliffe campaign.
That said, whomever is putting those out is a fricking genius.

This is why Dems get confused when a real grassroots effort happens. Because they are used to faking it with their people.

Do people really think an actual legitimate election is going to take place?
If there is any serious chance of McAuliffe losing the DNC will cheat their asses off to get him over the finish line.
It is what they do. They are proud of it. And they don't care about ethics, morality, or what you may think about it.

The fear is real. My brother tutors kids in Fairfax and Loudoun counties on the side. The parents are affluent and quite a few minorities (mostly Indian).
He has seen more signs for Youngkin including the homes he tutors in. He's cautiously optimistic.

Actually I hope the do try and cheat. They had four years to prepare to screw us with Biden. Younkin has had ten months warning to get watchers in place.
Fraud here would op the eyes of many.

I bet that sign was created by the opposition to McAuliffe. And, it's a great move.

Exactly. That is opposition to McAuliffe. And it’s excellent. I bet the placement of the signs are in areas that have been low in past turnout but are opposed to that mindset.

Does anyone know if Virginia is allowing the universal mail in ballots or something equivalent in this election?
If so, youngkin has zero chance.
