The frick are you talking about?

Plenty posters here address the substance of these articles.

ETA: OceanMan for one.

Let’s see if you or OP addresses his post.

The article dances past how much was paid by the end consumer. That’s kind of a key fact, isn’t it?

The substance is this. The effect of tariffs on inflation have been minimal to non-existent. I was surprised by this myself. Are some American companies absorbing part of the cost? Sure. They have led to many favorable trade deals and many companies deciding to make things here. This country has been abused on trade for way too long long. In case you didn’t notice, our trade deficit has been cut in half. And to top it all off, the tariffs have raised a helluva amount for the US Treasury. So yeah, let’s talk substance.

He said you wouldn’t do that.

I need to know if countries are mad and retaliating at the tariffs, or if they don't actually care because it's Americans actually paying it.

Did I miss the abundance of examples of what we are paying so much more now than before the tariffs were put in place? I'm not exactly noticing it in my day-to-day purchases

idk why we even need a study, anyone with half a brain should know what a tariff is and who pays it.

You are choosing to believe the report of an NGO over multiple CEOs who explicitly stated that they were shouldering the majority of the cost.

I guess it is true. People only believe what they want to believe.

Same question to you.
Who has paid these tariffs?
The article doesn’t say.

If you can direct me to one post of yours concerned with inflation under Joe Biden, I will be absolutely flummoxed.

You won't get a reply. The same people in this thread agreeing with OP were the same ones saying tariffs were going to tank the stock market. There's a famous thread on Money Talk I bump once a month just for everyone to laugh at them.

I appreciate you reading it

There just isn’t that much there. Maybe the data is just not there yet, but relying on the title of an article, because it references a study, is silly to me
