I need proof to dismiss the Noah's Ark story as fantasy?

Atheists widely dismissed Noah's flood as fantasy. Now, there is ample geological evidence to support it, along with written histories from multiple civilizations. If the flood is true, then why wouldn't the Ark be true? Most likely, the Ark was a DNA repository and didn't actually have living species.

A global flood "baptizing" the earth is an absolute fantasy. Catastrophic flooding in many population centers (which tend to be located near water)? Sure. There is some interesting evidence pointing towards it.

Also.. a DNA repository? Aliens?

Poliboard is amazing this week. Orcs, elves, aliens, noahs ark..

And now the human race is engaged in devolution by interfering with natural selection/relative fitness.

G@ddammit... We're all inbred...

That doesn't mean we all have to pull for Arkansas, does it? If so, goodbye cruel world.

So this means we didnt evolve from monkeys? Mind blow. Not really . Glad science is finally catching to an old book but still has a ways to go .

This isn't new. The way the math works, there's always a proverbial Adam & Eve (and another mitochondrial Eve) - who it is can shift slightly as the population expands and contracts, but one always exists.

Obviously, this in no way validates any fairy tales you may personally hold.

Any one here want to let their cousin (me) stay in their nice vacation home for free?

We are all family, you know.

Orcs are transmogrified elves

The theory that Orcs are descended from East Elves (Avari) captured by Melkor, their minds and bodies distorted and corrupted, is only one of many theories out there. The science is not settled.

I love how the article I posted refuting this silliness just gets ignored.

You are trying to appear edgy and smart, we get it, most of us have met 16 year old Goth kids....

Fact is, belief in God is NOT a strike against ones' intelligence....some of the most intelligent people to ever walk this planet had religious beliefs.

Now, I know you're probably at the Mall, leaving Hot Topic with your bag of goodies so we will let you get back to feeling superior to everyone and believing you're the first person to ever believe it.

Mitochondrial DNA studies aren't new and are great evidence for the theory of evolution

You mean the theory that continues to use disproved "facts"? The theory of evolution is as flawed as the theory of climate change. It uses falsified and exaggerated data for its basis. Many of the seminal discoveries supporting evolution are simply scientists forcing evidence into their preconceived notion. A lot of the supporting evidence for evolution is highly questionable or has been proven false but yet it is still widely used to support the theory.

I'm not saying that evolution is either true or false. I'm simply saying the evidence used to support the theory is weak at best and falsified at worst.

One of my main problems with both creationists and atheist evolutionists is that neither consider that God uses evolution as a means for development. When you look at how many organisms use the golden ratio, it makes sense that an intelligent creator set things in motion and then let things go as they may.

It is simply impossible to know that it was one couple when you can only see the female line

I'm saying that you and the author are misrepresenting the researchers work.

Maybe look at other studies that back it up:

quote:

Even more impressive, the geneticists concluded that every person on Earth right now can trace his or her lineage back to a single common female ancestor who lived around 200,000 years ago.

That study was from 1987. The study's lead author, Rebecca Cann.

In fact, What about studies that confirm the man?

quote:

Almost every man alive can trace his origins to one man who lived about 135,000 years ago, new research suggests. And that ancient man likely shared the planet with the mother of all women.

The findings, detailed today (Aug. 1) in the journal Science, come from the most complete analysis of the male sex chromosome, or the Y chromosome, to date.

I'm just saying... I love science.
