This is the seminary where Reinhold Neibuhr and New Testament scholar Raymond Brown taught. Deitrich Boenhoeffer was an alum of the school. It is affiliated with Columbia University.

Union Theological Seminary in Harlem, New York, a progressive Christian seminary, tweeted Tuesday that its seminarians “confessed to plants.” The seminary asked Twitter users, “What do you confess to the plants in your life?”

Romans 1:25 They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.
"progressive seminary" obviously doesn't realize they are fulfilling what it says in the Bible...

Dumb but not any more silly than confessing to a priest IMO

This is now code for: institute of pseudo-intellectual mental and "spiritual" masturbation for those seeking enrichment via various post-modern, invent-your-own-religous-cult movements.

It's code for political activism disguised as religion

At least plants aren't going to molest little kids.

Eh, I'm sure these seminarians support normalizing pedophilia as the next LGBTQIAFHEON+-+×1 identity

The Center for Earth Ethics grew out of the groundbreaking Religions for the Earth conference held at Union Theological Seminary in September 2014, which brought together over 200 religious and spiritual leaders from around the world to reframe climate change as a moral issue and galvanize faith-based activism to solve it.

These sorts of things, the evil of the current leftists, are definitely turning me from a longtime atheist to seriously questioning believer. I feel like all the wicked things prophecised are not only coming to pass, but embraced and heralded by leftists.

Plant worship? What is this, Jainist heresy?

It actually makes sense. I'm sure those students and the plants they are talking to can relate to each other intellectually. They are pretty much equal when it comes to critical thinking skills.

Sounds kind of corny to me. In fact I can barley make any sense out of it.
