The problem with the bold part of your statement is that China with their currency manipulations was causing a trade deficit for the US.

We benefited from China's stupidity.

Yes, it hurt certain low-level, unskilled jobs in the US, but that was going to happen anyway if we kept progressing.

Trumps policies negated them though it goes against free trade it was needed.

It's just a little bit of Socialism because of the bad guy. We promise it will stop here

I don't really believe that. I'm using their own projections (they love posting that picture) against them.

Another great one is this piece of (literal) Nazi propaganda

When they apply it to Trump

What did Trump actually get accomplished for the long term in his administration of worth outside of 2 long-term GOPE policies (Judicial nominations and tax cuts, thanks to Mr. Establishment, Mitch McConnell, primarily)?
So you think this is a fair question?

You have explicitly excluded everything you could think of that he has to offer
In essence, the OP asks "What did Trumpism accomplish that the 'GOPe' would not have done as well?"

To conduct that analysis, of COURSE you exclude the things that the "GOPe" would have done EXACTLY the same, because they are NOT accomplishments of Trumpism.

The Trump economy is based on mercantilism, not capitalism

Its an intermediate between socialism and capitalism, requiring Mucho protectionism.

It worked in the 1500s, it doesn't work today.

OP’s problem is he thinks he’s better than everyone and he will trip over his own dick and lay down and take it like a spineless coward to prove this. People like OP are the problem with the GOP.

No he isn;t and has never. You are simply lying.

The USA Federal gov was funded by Tariffs until FDR. Are you now suggesting, like Roger, that we were a communist nation for centuries until the great NON SOCIALIST FDR came along and freed us with FREE TRADE?

Sound tax policy.
Common sense management.
An end to the idiotic Ukrainian War.
A refocus on our real threat as a foreign adversary.
Etc.

But most importantly, his election would offer proof that Dem efforts to convert America into a Banana Republic failed miserably.

A major point of this thread is to specifically define that "philosophical alignment" and it's been very hard on those projecting that very self-identification.
You are asking for self-examination.

You won't get much of it.

You have been a critic of the entire premise of American Exceptionalism in the past. It’s disingenuous to champion it now when it serves your debate points. I’d agree on the wisdom of your stated biases for the most part. Liberty- based principles that we can agree on.

I think I’ve given you the correct answer here. It may not be what you had hoped for, but it is the actual reason why Trump supporters are so loyal. The larger philosophical point ( you erroneously call it esoteric) is that Trump voters perceive a shared vision. There is no need to complicate it. Especially if you are going to immediately discount every substantive point that all these posters say are important to them. You don’t really want their opinion, you just want to bludgeon them AGAIN , with Orange Man Bad. I’d suggest you explore the validity of their answers if you want an actual answer to your question.
