I’ve seen some military and intel types say that taking it probably wouldn’t be that difficult. But, our troops would be under endless fire trying to hold it.

I ask this in every thread. No military, no navy, communication down, etc etc yada yada..

Yet they dominate the strait. How?

The only way of fixing that region is killing all the men. That ain't happening so why do we keep doing this?

Bro. We invaded Afghanistan and occupied it for 20 yrs. The second we pulled out, our opponents regained control of the country. Outside of killing everyone that lives there, I’m not sure there’s much else we could have done.

The cultures are different. The religions are different. The people are different. Leave them to their own devices and focus on what we can do here. America first.

Trump and the US needs to slowly walk away. Let them deal with that. Closing the SOH seems like Iran is poisoning its own well since it is their economic life line.

You’re one of the more ignorant posters on this forum, and that’s quite an achievement.

Well I read up on it. If we take it, it needs to be a covert strategic and precision approach. Carpet bombing as some suggest would have worldwide implications and none of them good other than the feel good you get when someone pisses you off. As Joel Walsh to Don Becker in Hotel California, "Oh, Yeah, well watch this".

All this to end the nuclear program we ended last summer. It's all very strange.

At what point do we learn that spending trillions of dollars (that we don’t have) and killing thousands of people actually makes things worse and not better? Making America first would mean an end to our involvement in the ME and focusing on this hemispher

Since the American people clearly do not want boots on the ground but still want cheap gas, this is the logical option.

As I understand it the global economy will be brought to its knees as a result and I'm ready for it.
