Random murders/shootings have always taken place. That is all that has happened this summer - random events that led to a murder via gun shots. You get more black on black murder in Chicago any random weekend than you have with right vs left at the protests.

The Cold Civil War started decades ago when the vote was given to men who did not own property, when Roe v. Wade came along,when folks could not say Merry Christmas,when Thanksgiving was replaced with Black Friday sales deals, when God was taken out our schools,when homosexuals became accepted,when politicians began believing that they did not work for the voters,and on. The Hot One may come soon. Some Blue Laws should come back, like ALL businesses closed on Sunday, God said folks need a day off from their labors. Downvote me if you want,I have principles.
