Lincoln did the same thing. Was that ridiculous too?
Actually it was Congress while Lincoln was president. And there was a clear rebellion so way less gray area in that case compared to now

Vague statements like this are used as justifications for any unconstitutional idea.
We don’t need to destroy the constitution.
Which tells me they either expect MAGA to retain power indefinitely, or, more likely, are just too fricking stupid to see past the noses on their faces.

Its a catch 22. We all know that much.

I've tried pointing this out over and over the past few months. Their attitude seems to be, Dems are never going to let up, so we have to flex as much power as possible while we have the executive.

It's not that "MAGA" is cheerleading the suspension of Habeas - they're cheering the suspension of Habeas for millions of invaders. Now you can argue those in the crosshairs aren't "invaders", that's fine - and I can argue they are. But you're as retarded as you suggest "MAGA" is if you don't understand that distinction.

Well, this is true, and they are going to use it with or without MAGA using it.

That's fair. I just shudder to think of President AOC making the call on what is an invasion, emergency, or who is a terrorist or gang member. Or Secretary of State Hilldawg throwing out people for the same reasons Little Marco is.

Well he didn't use that justification. He used rebellion.
There are millions fewer KKK in the country at that time, than there are predatory invaders in the country currently
We hailed the elimination of the Klan. We pretend that rapes, murders, child trafficking, arson, child molestation, child pornography havent been documented with these 'invaders'
Sorry, your deflection game is weak

We are doomed as long as they have a chance to win back power because they are evil and they will use that evil against good people.

What citizen has Marco thrown out? Also AOC will never be president but you can keep dreaming about it.

suspending the writ of habeas corpus,
This isn't really what I signed up for when I voted for Trump.
But after seeing what the radical leftist communist judges are doing with lawfare. Our hands may be forced.
I hate it. It is a damned shame.
And if it comes to it , it will be 100% the fault of the communist revolutionaries in black robes.

And? As was explained to you, Grant relied on rebellion, not invasion.
There is one thing for sure these illegals are not doing and that's rebellion (as they're not citizens of this country by definition).

What deflection?
You thought you had a big-brained gotcha and didn't read the EO.
I point out how your usage is incorrect, and you try to call your embarrassment me deflecting

We are being invaded by foreigners, who come here, dont assimilate, dont learn the language, steal social security numbers, live outside the law, and whose children are given automatic citizenship for some reason known only to liberal bureaucrats
They are effectively 5th columnists, which fits right under that "rebellion" label you like.
Illegals who do not self deport deserve to go to CECOT. Anyone who has a problem with deporting illegal aliens should join them, a country does not exist without borders

I'll tell you what I understand: I understand that, even though you're too cowardly to admit it now, the majority of you are the same people who told me if I wasn't a terrorist, I had nothing to fear from the Patriot Act; that if I opposed the war in Iraq, I hated the troops (never mind that I served multiple tours there). I understand you're the same people who had McCain's balls in your mouth in '08 and thought dumbass Palin was a "pitbull." I understand you're the same people who burned Obama in effigy at rallies during your "Tea Party" phase but collectively lost your goddamn minds when a washed-up comedienne did that picture with Trump's head.
I understand that you have no morals. I understand that you have no actual principles or ethics beyond "own the libs." I understand that you've been wrong at almost every turn in your devolution, and the few times you've been right, you reversed course when your next hero told you to. I understand that there's no line you won't cross if Trump tells you to.
I understand Trump's greatest talent is convincing his followers that it's the other people that are the useful idiots as they support undermining their own freedoms.

Or, 127 of unobstructed Supreme Court jurisprudence. Hint: It's not some secret. Here is text of the originating case

Uh, no. Only citizens can rebel. We all agree that illegal immigrants are not citizens.
quote:
Anyone who has a problem with deporting illegal aliens
Nobody has argued we shouldn't deport illegal aliens legally.
Some of y'all just want to do it illegally, and then melt when the illegality is ruled as such by courts.
This is exactly why the utterly retarded, "dur Joe Biden broke da layuh so now we don't got to follow da Consti-too-chin" meme developed. A tempter tantrum based around justifying acting illegally and violating the Constitution and promoting expanding federal power (anti-conservativism)

Actually it was Congress while Lincoln was president.
Actually Lincoln did it first without Congress. Chief Justice Taney ruled that Lincoln’s habeas suspension was invalid as that power was reserved to Congress (ex parte Merryman) and Lincoln just… ignored him.
A few weeks later, on July 4th, Lincoln finally responded to Taney
quote:
Lincoln then presented his famous response to Taney. “Are all the laws but one to go unexecuted, and the Government itself go to pieces lest that one be violated?

More retardation. I was highly critical of Trump for extending FISA, and I think the bill got the same type of support from both sides of the aisle.
