Jesus was white?
C'mon man, everyone knows Jesus is brown, not that the color of His skin means anything.

I'm convinced you're a bad troll.

I clearly misunderstood the post. I skipped the first 20 pages so it was probably my fault.
I just saw a bunch of scripture claiming that his raiments (clothes) were white or something.
I'll just see myself out.

So why respond with anger? Thats never the intelligent thing to do.
Might want to ask the person who responded with anger.

You're serving your purpose, whether you realize that or not.

OK, let's try this another way. One at a time, explain why you think those writings support your position.
Aside from the gospels all speak to the belief in the divinity of Christ. These are first century accounts either from first hand accounts, or from the original hearers of the first hand accounts.
The writings of Polycarp, who was a student of John the Apostles wrote in the first century that Jesus was one in being with the Father.
The writings of Ignatius, another Johnian disciple and first century bishop, attest to the divinity of Jesus.
Do I need to go on? Or do you want to defend a point which is factually indefensible.

You need to be more specific and you need to be correct. You don't just get to say something is so, and have it be so. It doesn't work like that, especially here.
Try again.
Start with one, and be specific.

sad to think after all that he accomplished on earth that he neglected the one thing that matters: trust in Jesus Christ's atoning work on the cross. Unless he had a deathbed conversion (doubtful), he's begun his eternity of punishment for his rebellion against almighty God.
How could he "make" himself believe? Faith is faith, not just saying it, right? If someone doesn't believe, how can they?
I never get the hate for atheists; what are they supposed to do if they don't believe?

There are 450+ posts in this thread.
This thread is on pace to do in 34 days what it took the Q thread to do in 4.5 months.
Impressive.
Yeah I'm bored.

Polycarp of Smyrna (69–155): Now may the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the eternal high priest himself, the Son of God Jesus Christ, build you up in faith and truth . . ., and to us with you, and to all those under heaven who will yet believe in our Lord and God Jesus Christ and in his Father who raised him from the dead. Here is the problem where are the depictions of him being anything but white or brown? I have never seen a red or wheat colored Jesus. Nor have I seen a feeble Jesus. 99% of the time it is a white straight haired blue eyed young healthy Jesus. That doesn't coincide with what you just posted straight from The Bible. See the issue?

Thanks for being honest, not trying to be an arse, or a gotcha question, but what makes you so special to have an easier path to heaven? Why were you privileged in being born to a christian family, in a christian community that supports your beliefs? verses someone born in another country where Christianity is not as popular, and in even some cases you could lose your life if it is known that you're practicing Christianity.
You need to quit trying to solve the equation like its a crime scene. Working backwards like that allows for someone to fill in gaps that aren't needed, and often times gets the facts wrong
At one time all mankind believed in, and was intimate with the one creative God. As man migrated, their beliefs were shaped by their leaders and their new found culture
So no one was born into an area of the world that 'gave them an easier path to heaven'. Their forefathers chose that path for them

I work flexible hours and travel a bit, so depending on the day, there's a lot of down time. Most of my work gets done at night once the kids are in bed.

Gaucho! I'm a believer!
The Bible never says what color Jesus was in His incarnate state; just that He was nothing special to look at (Isaiah 53:2). You have to think His appearance was typical of the people He lived among. The color of His skin is immaterial; it's His message that matters.

I never get the hate for atheists;
quote:They should sit under preaching of the Gospel as much as possible, and if they never have a change of heart, they should try to obey God's law as best as possible. It won't save them but it will make eternity a little more tolerable than continuing to heap coals upon their heads through willful disobedience.
what are they supposed to do if they don't believe?

People that read the message bible are nuts and believe things like you believe
The real Jesus was American looking and preached from the King James Bible

Many agree with you about this. But, it doesn't explain why we have an 'Aryan' Jesus depicted. I am not saying he wasn't 'white' or that he was 'brown'. Only that what we know about the people of that region in those times it is very likely he was not the white Jesus we see depicted. That brings up some questions about the rest of it though as well.
