What's your question? This thread contains well... lots of different fibers on which to pull...

There are 450+ posts in this thread.
Much more than that has been discussed, and will be discussed.
Time to answer my question...
The answer is no, but that is hardly important.
Maybe you don't understand that every post is not a reply to every other post, but to a specific post. It would explain much.

I can explain anything that's confusing to you.

It's very important. Next, you do understand that references to texts written nearly two hundred years or more after the fact support his point, not yours, correct?

I didn't respond to you. You jumped into the discussion. If you don't want to have the discussion, you're free to move on. As long as you're here, I'm driving.

Take it from me. It's best to just ignore him.

All I am saying is if people will try and twist Jesus Christ into being a white guy with long straight brown hair and blue eyes what else will they fabricate?
Well, maybe if you knew a little bit about the subject matter, before you tried to take it apart? Men didn't create a fairy tale about Jesus having a different appearance than most Jews, He did that himself
quote:
John 20:14-15
And when she had thus said, she turned herself back, and saw Jesus standing, and knew not that it was Jesus. Jesus saith unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? whom seekest thou? She, supposing him to be the gardener, saith unto him, Sir, if thou have borne him hence, tell me where thou hast laid him, and I will take him away.
quote:
Luke 24:29-31
But they constrained him, saying, Abide with us: for it is toward evening, and the day is far spent. And he went in to tarry with them. And it came to pass, as he sat at meat with them, he took bread, and blessed it, and brake, and gave to them. And their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of their sight.
quote:
Matthew 17:1-2
And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart, And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light.
quote:
Luke 9:29
And as he prayed, the fashion of his countenance was altered, and his raiment was white and glistering.
quote:
Mark 9:2-3
And after six days Jesus taketh with him Peter, and James, and John, and leadeth them up into an high mountain apart by themselves: and he was transfigured before them. And his raiment became shining, exceeding white as snow; so as no fuller on earth can white them.
Even non-Biblical texts talked about him changing appearances. This from the Egyptians
quote:
Then the Jews said to Judas: How shall we arrest him? For he does not have a single shape but his appearance changes. Sometimes he is ruddy, sometimes he is white, sometimes he is red, sometimes he is wheat colored, sometimes he is pallid like ascetics, sometimes he is a youth, sometimes an old man ..." This leads Judas to suggest using a kiss as a means to identify him. By kissing Jesus Judas tells the people exactly who he is.

If your only interest is to present your faith as fact in an otherwise reasonable discussion, then yes, please do.
I appreciate you trying to do so.

Look, I get it. It's frustrating. You feel outmatched, and you are. If lashing out helps, by all means, continue.

Is this arguing that Jesus was white? I'm confused, I jumped in late.

The earliest writings from the first and second generation after the apostles speak to the divinity of Christ, and that supports that the divinity was a post-Constantine invention?

That's what he said Christians claim
But just like the 6,000 year old Earth, nothing in the Bible says that is factual

OK, let's try this another way. One at a time, explain why you think those writings support your position.

So go make a universe and you can create the rules that you see fit

I have found that he proves what my former pastor, Dr. Adrian Rogers, used to say... Never get into an argument with someone who thinks he knows everything. It's like getting into a wrestling match with a pig. You won't win, you'll both get dirty and the pig will actually enjoy it.

I'd settle for someone who can actually support their ridiculous claims.
Looks like it's the long game for me...

Seriously? If you were to guess what it meant, what would you come up with?
There are several different operational definitions of free will. I was curious which one is being used to support the argument.

No, I'm just not interested in appeasing a dullard such as yourself. It's too time consuming and there isn't a point with dolt's like you. But please, proceed to ask stupid questions that make you think that you're so brilliant. Over and out!!
