Stephen A. is absolutely trying to say all of the right things to the right people in order to line himself up for a run for President. He knows Trump is strong and has a ton of popularity, so he makes sure to say Trump does some things right, seemingly contrary to his base, but common sense-ish. Then, he tries to appease his base by saying crap like this. He is absolutely trying to pull from both sides and make himself seem like the ultimate pragmatist. (He can't just "support Trump" or else he has nothing with which to separate himself from Vance or whoever the Republicans run in 2028.)

He was all over Jasmine Felicia Crokett for her ghetto routine recently, telling the world her job was to 'acknowledge Trump is President, work with him to get her constituents what they need.
This was fine until super race-baiter Roland Martin came down on him. As one young man mentioned (Greg Foreman - Black Conservative Perspective),,. Martin 'whipped-that-arse' - spanked it hard. Plantation boss brought him back on the plantation... made an example of SAS to the point he apologized.
He is a male version of Kamala Harris without the red lipstick, if you get my drift.
