This, plus the fact that Floyd was talking during it. Repeatedly saying you can’t breathe means you are breathing at least some.

But what to make of the couple of minutes (at a minimum) that Chauvin continued on with the knee after Floyd went silent? I believe that is where the “if you’re talking, you can breathe” argument no longer carries any weight. I’m not trying to inflame in any way, it’s just a relevant point that can’t be avoided.

Was it ever proven he died from Fet OD?
Original autopsy said he died from OD, iirc

The one paid for by BLM said he died from strangulation

It's probably true that politically a pardon would be bad but there's no doubt whatsoever that he should be pardoned

Someone watches PBD and both theories are ridiculous.

I think Ben knows he's fallen out of favor with the MAGA/isolationist right and he's trying to get back into favor by starting a conversation about something he thinks they'll like.

Nah he was relishing it. Bad cop. Compare his antics to Daniel Penney (and Penneys retrainee was actually threatening people, unlike GF).

I don't like GF and I obviously hate BLM, but Chauvin is not a good person and it's not worth setting off more trouble for our populist movement by spending political capital freeing him.

Yes but the people who need to watch won't, as usual.

He should be pardoned. Watch the Fall of Minneapolis on YouTube or wherever and if you still think Chauvin should be in prison, you’re insane.

I get it that is was astroturfed and stoked by the left but Chauvin was responsible for giving them a lit match.

He literally did everything by the book. Nothing he did was wrong or illegal… it was greatly exaggerated by liberal media and activists and Floyd sided of a fentanyl overdose. frick anyone saying otherwise.

Chauvin did exactly as he was trained to do. He should not have spent one second in prison.

Cops are trained to kneel on someone’s neck (who is handcuffed) for 8 minutes ?

Chauvin did nothing wrong. He followed procedure straight from the manual.

That man will spend the rest of his whole life for using proper technique on a bum.

How anyone can be for this is terrible.

Where can I find the procedure straight from the manual on point in this particular scenario?

In Minnesota they were the chick cop who testified against Chauvin at his trial was on tape is teaching that is part of the standard training I don't remember exactly

The eight-minute part

But he was following department procedure

Not saying that a human being shouldnt be able to determine when someone is not breathing just speaking to the facts that I'm aware of and are a matter of record

Chauvin did as instructed in the Minneapolis PD training regarding neck restraints. Floyd didn’t die because of the method taught to restrain him.

Just because it isn't politically expedient doesn't mean it shouldn't be done.
