Texas Voters Approve Constitutional Amendment Banning State Income Tax
Well... looks like Texas voters have forever prevented Dems from raising an income tax in Texas!

Texas voters went to the polls on Tuesday to decide the fate of 10 constitutional amendments. The one receiving the most publicity was Proposition 4, which would ban the implementation of a statewide income tax.
The official text of the proposition is: "THE CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT PROHIBITING THE IMPOSITION OF AN INDIVIDUAL INCOME TAX, INCLUDING A TAX ON AN INDIVIDUALS SHARE OF PARTNERSHIP AND UNINCORPORATED ASSOCIATION INCOME."
With 89% of counties reporting across the state on Tuesday night (9:49pm), 77.22% of Texas voters, voted for Prop. 4.

Need one of those in Washington before Inslee and his merry band of idiots try to implement a State Income Tax.

When Rispone wins, I want him to scrap the current LA Constitution and just copy the Texas one.

Now they just have to get property taxes under control.

Need that in GA, not to mention nationwide.

Meh.
I would rather leave this to the legislature and not add a bunch of stuff to the constitution.

Income tax federally and state wide are absolutely trash and nothing more than theft.

Property taxes are worse imo. You don't even own your own land, you just rent it from the government.

Yep.
It’s pretty shocking how much we put up with in this “free” nation of ours

Other taxes will just keep going up. Texas has plenty of ways to get taxes from its people.

What they need to do is pass a constitutional amendment capping property taxes.
A lot of what you save in income tax being zero is gobbled up in property tax payments.
Cue the you could always rent crowd and pay nothing.
