60 Minutes, especially Mike Wallace, used to lurk in parking lots to do ambush interviews. They still do the ambush interviews but the “journalist” is now invited inside to conduct the interview.

fricking bizarro world. Trump is the most candid and accessible President I can remember. His opponent literally will not come out of his house and not only will he not answer any tough questions, but the media largely won't even ask him any tough questions. And we are supposed to think that Trump/Pence are the ones not being up front and candid with the electorate? And people are buying this shite?

Yeah some people, very curiously many people actually, insist that Trump's simply been lucky all this time. 1,000 of the nation's most powerful people armed with limitless resources having come at him with their best shot for 4 years and failing to land any real significant blow.....and it's all just luck. Sheeeiit. I know I'm not gonna doubt the man's tactical abilities.

Agreed. They have to pull the spot, now. Showing their Swamp Edit of the interview would be more damaging to them than simply storming off in a tantrum.
