Right wingers who think that Dems manufactured 8 million votes (same folks who were claiming 20 million a week ago) just sound like idiots.
But where were they to vote for Harris? They were told Trump was an existential threat to democracy in 2020 and allegedly they voted in massive numbers. So where were they this time with an even larger threat with literally Hitler white supremacy on the ballot?

Stagg,
The premise of your argument is wrong. Trump's favorable rating was no where near what it was four years ago.
On the other hand biden had the worst rating of any president, one would think democrats would be flocking to the polls for a new beginning.
The only explanation that biden got more votes than obama and kamala is the fact that democrats are racist, which is the only believable explanation.

You’re talking about the 2024 election. I’m talking about 2020 (the massive increase in votes he got relative to 2016).

Penrod’s primary contribution to this forum is to serve as barometer of the range of acceptable opinion allowed in the NyTi, the WaPo, or the WSJ. And that applies equally to many of the self-imagined “contrarians” on this board.

Why is it a shock that 7M people throughout the entire county did not show to vote for an idiot. They didnt like Trump but simply stayed home rather vote for the worse DEM in history
i know that's not as exciting as everything else mentioned here but dont think it's improbable. She was an historically awful candidate

I saw with my own eyes in Fulton County. Now add in numerous other blue cities doing the same thing and that's how you get 80 million for Biden and an increase in votes for Trump. It's pretty damn obvious.
So why didn’t they do it again?
Give Harris 120 thousand votes in Ga., 35,000 in Wisconsin, 80,000 in Michigan, and 50,000 in Nevada and Harris wins.
You don’t need to manufacture millions of votes to change the election.

So was Biden.

In retrospect, maybe. But he ticked a lot of boxes that Hillary and Kamala didn’t; including being male which rightly or not is part of the equation.

no doubt, but we do have them.
Harris didn’t win a single state with voter id.
Hmmmmmm

I can’t do a data justification of Trump’s voter increase in 2020.
I’m working on something from 2016 to 2024.

The ask is to explain the ~ 11.5 MM gain between Trump 2016 and Trump 2020.
ETA: Credit for posting all the numbers, though.

What was missing was the 8 million fabricated mail-in ballots from when the Dems cheated in 2020.

Yes she did.
She won several states with voter ID. N Hampshire, Rhode Island, Virginia, Colorado, Mass., and Delaware.
Trump also won Pa. and Nevada that have no voter ID.

You left out Harris being a POC — but thanks for your contributions Joy Reid!

I think unless, you were a hardcore DU democrat , you knew Harris was going to lose plus, she is just thoroughly unlikeable on a personal level. So, why take the time and effort to vote knowing it would make no difference in the big picture?/Just see no conspiracy.

Harris didn’t run the primary gauntlet that new contenders usually do. She was nominated by the Dems in a modern day smoke filled room,
Americans were introduced to her finally and she was very unlikeable, poor in interviews, and was easily seen as a big phony. Throw in the terrible inflation numbers and the out of control border and she was toast.

Note the total votes cast: from 128 million in 2016 to 157 million in 2020 and then 153 million 2024. (Includes Other)
Year Popular Vote
2016 Total Votes 128,125,270
2020 Total Votes 157,351,334
2024 Total Votes 153,131,763

Yeah. So explain the 11.5 MM additional Trump votes.
My agenda isn’t a secret here. The board is conveniently glossing over the huge bump in Trump popular vote between 2016 and 2020 (except for the poster who said both Biden and Trump benefitted from voter fraud).

Hence why the vast majority of the losses were in blue areas that made no sense to cheat for Biden in 2020.
The contested areas didn't have nearly the same dropoff in DEM support. If there was cheating anywhere in 2020, it would be these areas, but they maintained similar voting levels without the same 2020/Covid voting rules AND 100x the scrutiny.
So the narrative is the DEMs actually cheated in areas like California and New York in 2020, but in 2024, they decided not to.
