I had a case in front of Burris a few years back and he was very fair to me even though he knew the other side personally

I’m not a lawyer, but shouldn’t he have recused himself from presiding over a case when he’s got personal connections to one of the parties?

Edwards is Jon bel’s sister in law and a fake republican. She’s as corrupt as expected don’t fall for her bullshite ads.
I honestly don’t know a ton about Burris but he can’t be worse than an Edwards

Letlow is a DEI supporter and rino Ie Cassidy in a skirt. Terrible voting record. Fleming is the only choice

When I say personally I mean they knew each other because they practice in the same area, not that they are neighbors or friends. I was coming in from EBR so I was an unknown attorney to them. But that is an interesting point.

Burris - gun toting lifetime solid conservative in every facet and has been a solid conservative district court judge - father was a great judge for many years - supported by almost every business and conservative interest in the state

Edwards - sister in law to John Bel Edwards - wife of former disgraced Tangipahoa sheriff Daniel Edwards - supported by trial (plaintiff) lawyers and coastal lawsuit lawyers - used to be a democrat but only changed her party affiliation when she realized she could not win as a democrat in Tangipahoa Parish - lost the Amite mayor's race as a democrat years ago while her own husband was the sheriff - that ought to tell you everything

Through my work, I am acquainted with Burris. He's an okay guy. All I know about Edwards is that she is from that Edwards family, which is a major strike against her as far as I'm concerned.

Does anyone truly give a shite? Because I don't. I know both of them, they are both very capable.

I run into Billy periodically around town. Nice guy. As someone else mentioned, I've heard he's fair in the court room. As an aside, he was presiding over a case against the new wonder boy mayor of Bogalusa and caught the mayors grandad recording during the proceeding. Held him in contempt of court in the middle of the hearing and fined him $1,000, then just carried on with the case like nothing had happened. His voice never changed.

Burris and Fleming if you’re conservative.
