maybe don’t fire everyone who works there before requiring people show up and check in if they want the benefits they paid into.

Good - long time coming. I suggested this long ago. In person. Redundant verification. Complete audit of US citizenship. Clean up voter rolls, Social Security, the whole deal.

For *years*, fraud analysts have been sounding the alarm on social Security’s lax system for changing bank account information. I remember seeing articles on this in the mid 2000s.
Reuters is reporting that the change was recommended by major bank heads during a February 18th meeting with WH officials.
What is your preferred solution to add additional screening to prevent fraudsters from easily redirecting funds?

Inb4 SloF*ckingPussy assures us all that requiring people to prove who they are to get Social Security is clearly racist and automatically unconstitutional. He’ll cite us a late 1800’s-era Supreme Court case which has nothing to do with the issue but assure us all that we’re just not smart enough (like him) to see the “real” nuanced meaning of the case.

Do they find ways to get to Dr appointments? This is no different.

Sorry that your grandma died 14 years ago and that you're still cashing her SS checks.

This is the pathetic state our country has come to first of all there is no wide scale fraud it will take weeks months to complete this task most of you know nothing about the SSI program security system . There is no100 million dollar fraud and you know it it’s a roost to dig dipper into your private lives .

maybe this solution but they fund it and staff it.

Yes, at least for new recipients and any existing one that is changing banking information. If you can do that, you should easily be able to take a ride to an office

Is this satire?

Ruse? To dig deeper into the lives of social security recipients?
Like how? To make sure the recipient is the correct person? Like that?
I’m okay with that.
I’m pretty sure the SSA doesn't care if old Uncle Joe is dating a crack whore who’s targeting his SS check.
